85% of Sberbank's processes have artificial intelligence

In 85% of Sberbank's processes, artificial intelligence is introduced. This was announced on April 10, 2024 by the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank Alexander Vedyakhin.

Шаблон:Quote 'author = said Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank.

Artificial intelligence can change processes in different ways, explained Alexander Vedyakhin. The first option is radical acceleration. For example, when the issuance period credit is reduced from several weeks to several minutes. The second option is gradual improvements, when efficiency is increased by 20-30%, since what a person used to do is now done by the machine. And the third, undesirable option that needs to be dealt with is artificial "screwing" of artificial intelligence, which in fact does not affect the process itself.

Alexander Vedyakhin also noted the interesting results of training Sberbank's neural network model GigaChat. When a model receives a lot of knowledge from completely different areas, and then undergraduates to a specialized profile (for example, GigaChat recently passed the doctor's exam), then the general professional intelligence of such a model is higher than if it was trained only on specialized data. But for this, the neural network must be very large and well trained, with the right architecture.

To avoid surprises, model validation is extremely important. No significant model in Sberbank goes into commercial operation without careful validation. Since it is very difficult for a person to check the model, in April 2024 at the bank one model checks the other, and then the person makes the final decision.

According to Alexander Vedyakhin, the further development of generative models of artificial intelligence will consist in combining design generation and engineering thought. For April 2024, in the organization of business, the engineering stage, during which the company moves from the design of the object to technical documentation, can take months, and in certain industries and years. With artificial intelligence, this process can potentially be accelerated to days and even hours.

Sberbank is considering several fairly large investments in DeepTech, a top bank manager said.

Шаблон:Quote 'author = said Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank.

As Alexander Vedyakhin noted, if in 2021 there were 15% of private investors in technological startups, then as of April 2024 there are already more than 50% of them. Private capital is looking for additional earning opportunities in Russia, which creates positive upward pressure for the development of domestic diptech. As a result, many startups in this area prefer to develop on their own without becoming part of any corporation. Plus, the state has many programs to support such startups. This trend is a big investment opportunity, stressed Alexander Vedyakhin.

Sber began to make 100% decisions on loans to individuals using AI

As of March 2024, Sberbank in 100% of cases makes credit decisions in relation to individuals using artificial intelligence. Thanks to the integration of AI into all business processes, Sberbank was able to earn an additional 350 billion rubles in 2023. The organization released such data on March 13, 2024.

Sber is actively introducing AI technologies. According to the first deputy chairman of the bank's board, Alexander Vedyakhin Sber is preparing a new version of its neural network. Kandinsky It will open up even more opportunities for users to work with images and videos, ensuring a higher quality of material generation. The total number of users of Sberbank's AI services - GigaChat and Kandinsky - reached 18 million by mid-March 2024. Kandinsky understands requests from a broad list in more than 100 languages, and users can create photorealistic images in unlimited quantities, applying a wide variety of styles. In the business segment, AI tools help Sberbank optimize operations and improve financial performance.

Today, 100% of credit decisions for individuals in Sberbank are made using AI, and for legal entities by the end of [2024], 70% of decisions will be made in this way - both in the number of loans issued and in the amount of financing, - notes Vedyakhin.
File:Aquote2.png

Thanks to AI technologies, Sber expects to receive an additional 400 − 450 billion rubles in 2024. Vedyakhin also named key trends in the development of AI. One of them is the commoditization of large language models, which in themselves are less and less a competitive advantage. Two more significant areas are interactive AI and alternative architectures: thanks to their development, the need for computing power will decrease significantly. In addition, specialized models trained on high-quality[1] are being implemented[2]"

The time for making decisions by Sberbank on applications for project financing of housing will be less than a week

By the end of 2023, the decision-making time of Sberbank on applications for project financing of housing will be less than a week. Sberbank announced this on February 6, 2024.

Previously bank , it took one to two months to consider an application for project financing, now for some transactions the process takes up to six days, and by the end of 2024 this will be possible for more than half of transactions.

{{quote 'author = said Anatoly Popov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank. | As of February 2024, four transactions with developers have been concluded completely in the online process. In 2024, we set ourselves the goal of developing and improving this technology, increasing the coverage of projects and reducing the time for making a decision,}}

In September 2023, Sberbank entered into a project financing deal with an automatic decision. This was made possible by artificial intelligence technology. The bank's loan for housing construction was received by the Stavropol developer SZ EVILIN KM-5 LLC, the amount of financing amounted to 2 billion rubles.

Sberbank concluded a project deal with a housing developer financing with an automatic decision. It became possible thanks to artificial intelligence technology. Bank loan for construction housing received the Stavropol developer LLC "SZ EVILIN KM-5," the amount of financing will be 2 billion rubles. This was announced on October 2, 2023 by the deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank Anatoly Popov.

Шаблон:Quote 'author = said Anatoly Popov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank.

With online technologies, the developer does not need to visit the bank's office. He serves application in the personal account of the Internet bank SberBusiness and in just one day receives a loan offer (the package of documents is checked for another five days) and the decision is made automatically. Now the bank's review of the application for project financing will take six days, not up to two months, as earlier.

It was possible to dramatically speed up the process thanks to the ML developed in Sberbank models and algorithms. They predict prices and sales rates, allowing algorithmize construction and other types of examinations and promptly adopt decision on the deal.

Sberbank called the volume of annual investments in development in the field of AI

He noted that Sberbank has been investing "a lot" in this area for about 12-13 years. President Vladimir Putin said in response that this is a serious scale:

File:Aquote1.png
All efforts that are aimed at achieving specific goals in this area, they, of course, must be supported.
File:Aquote2.png

Putin asked Gref if artificial intelligence would replace him as head of Sberbank.

File:Aquote1.png
I hope not in my lifetime, but everything goes to this, "Gref replied.
File:Aquote2.png

In response, Putin joked that "progress is impossible with such people, everything will now slow down."

Earlier in July 2023, the first deputy chairman of the board of Sberbank, Alexander Vedyakhin, said that every ruble invested by the bank in artificial intelligence brings him about 7 rubles, and by the end of 2023 the figure should grow to 8 rubles.

File:Aquote1.png
That is, we, of course, invest a lot in this technology, but at the same time the return of our investments is huge, - he noted.
File:Aquote2.png

According to Vedyakhin, in 99.9% of cases the decision to issue consumer loans in Sberbank is made by artificial intelligence, in the corporate segment this share is 81%.

File:Aquote1.png
We have made good progress in implementing artificial intelligence in our financial business. Over the past year, the share of Sberbank business processes where AI is used has increased in Sberbank by 10% of points, to 75%, - said Alexander Vedyakhin.[3]

Collector robots will not leave the "gray" zone in any way. Sberbank fights in the courts for their use without the consent of debtors

The bodies of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP) and arbitration courts have repeatedly regarded the use of collector robots without a written agreement with the debtor as illegal, follows from judicial practice in the file of arbitration cases. However, Sberbank, which has been using collector robots since 2017, has stubbornly continued to challenge their findings in court. The law on debt collection still does not spell out the use of this technology. Read more here.

Sberbank has automated the process of preparing a pledge on simple assets

The pledge service Sberbank has launched the process of automatically assembling the pledge using. artificial intelligence This was bank announced on October 26, 2022. Due to the use of the technology, in the presence of a full package of documents, the conclusion is formed in just 10 minutes.

You can prepare a collateral opinion based on AI technologies for a third of all collateral examinations. As of October 2022, artificial intelligence helps to form documents for simple assets (apartments, commercial premises, transport, etc.). To start MDO (machine driven opinion), only a unique key is required for the object of collateral examination (for example, cadastral number for real estate, VIN for vehicles).

The technology allows you to fill out a pledge by 90%. At the same time, the expert can view each step of the system, which ensures the transparency of the process and makes it possible, if necessary, to control the decisions made by the system. MDO technology, with a growing portfolio, frees up expert resources and ensures that applications are processed 24/7.

The main optimization parameters were achieved by reducing the cost of the collection process and operational risks, accelerating and increasing the efficiency of the process by developing and implementing AI, standardizing the collection process and increasing the share of overdue debt collection.

As of September 2021, key instruments in recovery have been automated: enforcement proceedings, bankruptcy, decision-making. In particular, in corporate collection processes, an "Intelligent Management System" was introduced, which regularly analyzes process data with dozens of algorithms, determines deviations, repetition rates and immediately directs a detailed task to be eliminated. Technologies for collecting small amounts of receivables formed by clients to the bank were transferred and centralized into digital channels.

Sberbank will invest 150 billion in artificial intelligence and earn 448 billion on it

Sberbank will invest 150 billion rubles in artificial intelligence and earn 448 billion rubles on it, according to the roadmap for the development of end-to-end digital technology in Russia until 2024. The document was prepared by the bank itself together with the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), which became known on February 20, 2020.

According to Sberbank's estimates, reflected in the roadmap, income from the introduction of AI may amount to 60 billion rubles in 2020. In 2021 , revenues will grow to 72 billion rubles, in 2022 - to 86 billion rubles, in 2023 - to 104 billion rubles. In 2024 , technologies related to artificial intelligence can already bring 124 billion rubles, calculated in the bank.

The roadmap for the development of end-to-end digital technology in Russia until 2024 assumes that Sberbank will earn 448 billion rubles using artificial intelligence

As for expenses, the largest investment (60 billion rubles) will require the transformation of Sberbank into an AI-Native company (when AI becomes an integral part of the company), Vedomosti writes.  Sberbank will spend 13.3 billion rubles to support scientific research for the advanced development of artificial intelligence, and 34.2 billion rubles to support AI development startups.

Sberbank is ready to allocate 112 billion rubles, RDIF can also become a source of financing, however, the representative of the fund did not specify the amount of investments to the newspaper. Earlier, RDIF has already raised $2 billion for the development of artificial intelligence technologies in Russia from foreign investors.

As experts told Vedomosti, Sberbank needs artificial intelligence to increase revenues from its own business, which is why the bank has been developing its own ecosystem for five years. In 2020, the bank planned to bring the income from it to 70 billion rubles: this is a lot, since more than 90% of the bank's income is still provided by financial services.

According to Gazprombank analyst Andrei Klapko, for Sberbank, investments of 112 billion rubles in five years are small money.[5]

Artificial intelligence added $700 million to Sberbank's annual revenue

The use of artificial intelligence added $700 million to Sberbank's revenue in 2019. This was announced on January 23, 2020 by the first deputy board of the state bank Alexander Vedyakhin during a discussion on the topic of artificial intelligence organized by Sberbank at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

According to the top manager, in 2020, additional revenues of Sberbank from the implementation of the AI system may exceed $1 billion.

Thanks to the use of artificial intelligence, Sberbank in 2019 received an additional income of $700 million
File:Aquote1.png
The benefits of implementing artificial intelligence are clear, but we need to be cautious and consider the risks. According to experts, the positive effect of the introduction of artificial intelligence in the world can reach $13 trillion, this is a huge figure, - said Vedyakhin.[6]
File:Aquote2.png

On the discussion on the topic "Responsible AI: what it should be in order to benefit and exclude potential harm to society, the directions of improving artificial intelligence and the area of responsibility for its use were discussed.

The discussion began with a vote in which speakers and guests took part. It was asked to answer the question: "What should be avoided in the first place when implementing AI?." 32% of the audience noted that ethics issues should be followed first, 28% noted that it is important to avoid crime using AI, 16% - prejudice and discrimination, 12% - behavior against a person. The participants in the discussion discussed the directions for improving AI, as well as the area of their own responsibility when applying it.

Murat Sonmez, board member of the World Economic Forum, head of the Center for the Forum of the 4th Industrial Revolution (C4IR), who took part in the discussion, said that when using AI, you need to be prepared for different challenges.

File:Aquote1.png
I believe that it is worth thinking about creating a world constitution of ethics in the field of AI, this process will cause a lot of discussion, but it is necessary, we need a legal framework, "he stressed.

Implementation of AI to assess the likelihood of layoffs in hiring

On October 18, 2019, it became known that Sberbank began using artificial intelligence to assess the likelihood of layoffs during hiring. With the help of new technology, the largest credit institution in Russia expects to reduce costs and staff turnover.

The fact that Sberbank began to conduct an automated assessment of applicants using AI when hiring consultants in its branches, writes RBC with reference to the managing director of the Center for the Development of Competencies for the study of data from the state bank Andrei Chertok. According to him, the new approach allows personnel specialists to make hiring decisions more correctly.

Sberbank began to predict layoffs using artificial intelligence

With the help of the system, the bank assigns a scoring score to the candidate and calculates how soon he decides to quit. The system analyzes the resume of applicants and other parameters. Only open information provided by the candidate is used - for example, data about him as a bank client. The program uses several criteria to evaluate applicants. One of them is past work experience.

File:Aquote1.png
If the previous experience was more related to standing work - for example, a waiter - then there is a lower probability of dismissal. If a person worked in a nail salon, then it is more difficult for him to adapt to work in the department as a consultant, - explained Andrei Chertok.
File:Aquote2.png

Earlier, the head of Sberbank, German Gref, said that the introduction of artificial intelligence in the company led to the departure of employees who performed simple tasks. The bank has cut about 70% of middle managers, but most of them have undergone retraining and are now engaged in other tasks.

In the first half of 2019, Sberbank spent 205.4 billion rubles. for staff maintenance, follows from its reporting  under IFRS. At the same time, the bank's labor costs increased by 7.4%, and the number fell by almost 8 thousand people compared to the same indicator in 2018.[7]

Microsoft and Sberbank launched joint research in AI and robotics

On October 15, 2019, Sberbank and Microsoft announced the launch of a joint research program in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics. Sberbank will entrust artificial intelligence with 100% of decisions on issuing loans to the population

100% of decisions on issuing loans to the population Sberbank will be made by artificial intelligence, said in an interview RIA Novosti with the Deputy Chairman of the Bank's Board Alexander Vedyakhin on the eve of the Eastern Economic Forum Vladivostok in early September 2019.

By this time, AI solutions are used in all divisions of Sberbank, he noted.

In Sberbank, 100% of decisions on issuing loans to the population will be made by artificial intelligence
File:Aquote1.png
Now we already issue on the basis of decisions made by artificial intelligence, 100% of credit cards, more than 90% of consumer loans and over 50% of mortgage loans, since this is a more complex product. But the stated trend that models will make about 100% of credit decisions is correct. I think this will happen by the end of 2020, "said Vedyakhin.
File:Aquote2.png

As Ilya Munerman, director of the Interfax LAB research center, told Komsomolskaya Pravda, assessing the solvency of customers with a computer has become commonplace for Russian banks. The robot gives an initial estimate, but as for the VIP segment, when it comes to amounts of 50 million rubles and more, for many years the final decision will be made by a person, he is sure.

According to him, AI systems, which were created by the beginning of September 2019, still need to be improved - for example, they do not effectively check the solvency of customers with several sources of income, which leads to unjustified refusals to issue a loan.

Vladimir Putin, in his speech at the final plenary session of the II International Forum "Development of Parliamentarism" in July 2019, urged parliamentarians in the digital era not to forget that a person and his rights always remain in the center.

Alexander Vedyakhin, in a conversation with RIA Novosti, also announced Sberbank's plans to open coffee shops in branches. The bank has already found one partner and plans to attract several more. Vedyakhin has not yet disclosed the partner and other details of the project.[8]

Artificial intelligence began to lend to legal entities

On June 6, 2019, it became known that Sberbank began using artificial intelligence to lend to legal entities. Thanks to the computer, the time for agreeing loans has been significantly reduced.

The fact that Sberbank launched the process of approving loans to legal entities in the amount of up to 2 billion rubles based on AI decisions was told by the first deputy chairman of the board of Sberbank Alexander Vedyakhin at a session at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

Artificial intelligence began to lend to legal entities in Sberbank. The process was reduced to 7 minutes
File:Aquote1.png
We launched a process based exclusively on artificial intelligence, which takes 7 minutes from the client's request to the issuance of money, including legal analysis of the correctness of decision-making. Exactly 7 minutes to money, up to 2 billion rubles, this is decent money, - he noted (quoted by TASS Information Agency of Russia).
File:Aquote2.png

According to him, before the approval of loans to companies could take from 2-3 weeks. Employees of the credit institution had to manually check legal documents, suppliers, beneficiaries and decision-makers. By the beginning of June 2019, the credit institution operates more than 2 thousand models based on artificial intelligence and machine learning, said Alexander Vedyakhin.

He also noted that the liquidity of the portfolio of corporate loans issued using artificial intelligence is at a positive level, he said.

Sberbank is actively introducing artificial intelligence into operating activities. The share of profits provided by these technologies by the beginning of June 2019 is 30-40%. This figure is planned to be increased to 50-70% in the near future, Vedyakhin said at SPIEF 2019.

Earlier, the head of  Sberbank German Gref spoke about the reduction of up to 70% of middle managers after the introduction of a system with artificial intelligence. Most of these employees are sent for retraining and left in the bank.[9]

The first results of the AI transformation of Sberbank: robots replaced employees in dozens of processes

In the annual report for 2018, published in April 2019, Sberbank summed up the first results of the implementation of AI transformation (AI - Artificial Intelligence, artificial intelligence). The bank implements the AI-first concept, integrating artificial intelligence into all its processes.

According to the annual report, in 2018 the bank was focused on creating the necessary conditions for AI transformation, including the preparation of infrastructure, data, models, processes. The bank creates unified open platforms on which service is provided for all internal business customers.

The need to have appropriate specialists is also noted. Sberbank has created a competence of 200 experts on robotization of processes.

Routine operations in 53 processes in the bank are performed by robots instead of employees, according to the annual report. Where software robots are used, 30 of them processed 100% of the industrial volume of operations, and in 23 processes 50-80% of the industrial volume was processed.

Due to the robotization of processes and a reduction in manual labor in 2018, the efficiency of the back office was increased by 25%, Sberbank claims.

The further fate of employees whose work in the processes was not needed, Sberbank did not specify TAdviser. In 2018, the head of the bank, German Gref, spoke about the prospects for large-scale layoffs of personnel in connection with the introduction of artificial intelligence.

The bank also already uses AI to improve customer experience in several products. According to Sberbank, the speed of individual client processes has increased 4-10 times.

AI is also used for personalized communication with retail and corporate customers using chats and voice bots, as well as when collecting overdue debts.

In turn, the use of AI in asset and liability management helps the bank model the balance sheet structure taking into account many factors, including macroeconomic, and make optimal decisions in financial planning and setting product rates, Sberbank says.

Microsoft, IBM and Google forced Sberbank to reconsider approach to artificial intelligence

After talking with representatives of global IT companies, such as, and Microsoft IBM Google Sberbank rethinking his approach to transformation in the field (AI AI - Artificial Intelligence, artificial intelligence). This conclusion can be drawn from the words of the Chairman of the Board of Sberbank Hermann Gref during a conference call with top managers of Sberbank and analysts on February 28, 2018.

Sberbank rethinks AI transformation after communicating with Microsoft, IBM and Google
File:Aquote1.png
We spent a lot of time with our partners from Silicon Valley, Microsoft, IBM and Google and realized that the AI transformation - it's a little different from what we did a few months ago and the last few years - Gref is quoted as saying in the official transcript of the conversation. - This means that we need to transform all our technological and transformation plans through the concept of artificial intelligence.

The head of Sberbank added that at the beginning of 2018, an AI transformation program was launched at the bank, and expressed the hope that at the end of March the bank will have more understanding of what it means for it.

In September 2018, German Gref said that by the end of 2018, Sberbank plans to implement 159 projects using artificial intelligence technology. There is not a single area of activity within a company in which the bank does not try to use artificial intelligence, he noted.

The introduction of artificial intelligence radically changes the internal business landscape of the company: business model, convenience for customers, costs, profitability, the head of Sberbank emphasized. There was a period when the company, if it does not use artificial intelligence in its activities, it loses, Gref said.

Even earlier, the head of Sberbank noted that in 5 years, about 80% of operations in the bank can be carried out using artificial intelligence and without the participation of people.

Plan to replace call center employees with artificial intelligence in 3-5 years

This was stated by the head of Sberbank German Gref in October 2017. He added that by 2025 the bank expects to automate almost all simple actions.

"Today, in fact, there is not a single area of our business in which we would not use artificial intelligence, in the financial business these are personal financial managers and so-called bots that respond to typical requests from our customers in call centers. I think that literally in three to five years we will not have people left on this function, because every day artificial intelligence learns and becomes more and more accurate in its answers, "the Russian News Agency G. Gref quotes TASS
.

The head of Sberbank added that already now some of the bank's services operate almost automatically. According to him, 99% of decisions on loans to individuals are made automatically, without the participation of employees of a credit institution.

Sberbank will transfer the work of 3 thousand employees to robotic lawyers

Sberbank in 2017 will "free up" about 3 thousand jobs thanks to the introduction of the so-called family of robotic lawyers, Deputy Chairman of the Bank's Board Vadim Kulik said at the Gaidar Forum [10] Kulik stressed that this does not mean automatic staff cuts.

The banker clarified that Sberbank in the fourth quarter of 2016 had already "launched a robot lawyer who can write statements of claim himself."

"This
is one example of robots working. In fact, at the moment, this means that almost all claims that are written in our country for individuals will completely switch to these robots during this half of 2017, "he
said.

The representative of Sberbank added that the innovation will "free up" about 3 thousand jobs, but this does not mean that all employees involved in this work will be automatically reduced.

"These people will fall under the retraining program. If we do not find how to retrain them, then reductions will begin, "explained the deputy chairman of Sberbank
.

Kulik added that the bank seeks to cut employees so as not to affect the labor market. At the same time, he admitted that new technologies are forcing the bank to actively introduce robots in many other areas. "We have a large and aggressive pipeline," he added, but did not specify details.

Kulik later commented through the press service of Sberbank that it was about transferring standard claims to robots, and that this "will free the bank's lawyers from routine work and allow them to focus on solving complex legal issues."

How artificial intelligence is changing banks. 6 trends from Mikhail Khasin, Senior Managing Director of Sberbank

In his speech at TAdviser SummIT 2017, Mikhail Khasin, Senior Managing Director of the Technologies block of Sberbank, told how artificial intelligence (AI) becomes a driver of technological innovations in banks.

Artificial intelligence, according to Mikhail Khasin, is already quite developed and reliable in everything related to risks, privacy, human factor problems and marketing strategies. In the banking environment, 6 key trends related to artificial intelligence are noticeable.

Chatbots. If earlier a person called a contact center and talked with a bank employee, now more and more banks are selling chat bots. A person communicates with a robot and receives all the necessary information and service. Communication can be built in the form of SMS messages or in the form of text that can be typed in a chat. At the same time, the chatbot can analyze the needs of the client and immediately provide various financial recommendations.

Roboaging or algotrading. Roboedifying has become an alternative to financial advisers on banking, shopping and cash transactions. The portfolio, which is now managed by robots in the US financial markets, reaches $1 trillion. By 2020, it will amount to more than $2 trillion.

Individual offers and increased loyalty. A person is increasingly immersed in the world of AI, and he begins to receive more and more services in real time. Analyzing what happens to it allows you to very effectively offer various unique personalized offers. The entire service in the digital world is becoming more and more personal.

File:Aquote1.png
If a person on a social network has collected more than 200 likes, and we know well the profiles of those people who put these likes, then on the basis of this information you can find out more about this person than the next of kin know. There is another analyst who shows that in order to uniquely identify a person, it is enough to know the 3 most frequent GPS coordinates, usually home, work and some favorite place. Actually, on the basis of such information, you can understand the social environment with whom he communicates - according to such information, you can more effectively determine the credit rating that can be assigned to this person, - Mikhail Khasin gives an example.
File:Aquote2.png

Having determined that a person works in the field of agriculture, he can be offered various kinds of products related to crop insurance. For small businesses, analyzing the supply chains and counterparties of the enterprise, as well as analyzing the seasonality of supplies and payments, you can very accurately predict at what moments the client may face liquidity gaps or local cash gaps. And to offer your services in advance, to save the entrepreneur from hassle. Such services are becoming more and more in demand.

Internet of Things. By 2025, there will be about 28 billion devices in the world, approximately 5 for each person connected to the Internet and providing information. This leads to the fact that any person will leave so-called electronic traces in the cloud. Mikhail Khasin sees here opportunities for the emergence of new types of services. For example, analyzing the time, the fact that a person got into a car, AI can determine that he is going to go home, and immediately offer the desired route. Or, understanding where and why a person usually goes shopping, you can automatically pre-order. A person will only have to stop by the store and pick up purchases.

Smart refrigerators are being developed that actually recognize everything that is currently in them. This is not done using a barcode or RFID, but using a camera.

File:Aquote1.png
This means that a smart refrigerator costs nothing, realizing what is a standard consumer basket and what is in it at the moment, automatically order. Moreover, at the next level, he can go to different stores and order where this basket is cheaper. All this opens up new horizons, how systems should behave and how financial services should be integrated into them, "explained Mikhail Khasin.
File:Aquote2.png

Antifrod. Artificial intelligence becomes a powerful shield in the path of external and insider threats. For example, by analyzing the frequent places of customer purchases, you can determine who exactly makes this purchase, detect signs of the use of the customer's plastic card by third parties. The list of algorithms that detect fraud is huge, it is constantly expanding, an important area where investments are going.

Operational efficiency. The overwhelming number of actions that people are now doing in the backophis can be automated and algorithmized. There will be a complete rejection of paper, with automatic recognition of documents and storage of scans on electronic media, no need to physically come to the bank and transfer these documents.

There will be a transition from transaction work to work with deviations. People will monitor deviations in the time and timing of a particular transaction and take measures, and the processes themselves will go with almost 100% automation.

File:Aquote1.png
In order for this to be easily integrated into current banking services, it is necessary that the banking platform supports this. Obviously, those platforms on which banks mainly now work were created 10-15 years ago, it is almost impossible to embed these algorithms into them. Therefore, banks are now puzzled by how to engineer their landscape in order to be able to effectively integrate artificial intelligence and machine learning into their banking platform, "summed up Mikhail Khasin.

2016: Head of Sberbank: In five years, the bank will be able to make 80% of all decisions using AI

In five years, Sberbank will be able to make 80% of all decisions using artificial intelligence, said the head of Sberbank German Gref in September 2016.

"We calculated, if we compare the bank today and Sberbank five years ago, then about 50% of those decisions that were made by people are accepted by machines today. And in five years, we believe that we will be able to make approximately 80% of all decisions automatically using artificial intelligence, "Gref said[11]
.

The head of Sberbank clarified that in this case these processes will occur "much better." "This means that in our case, tens of thousands of people will lose their jobs today," Gref concluded.
