Hybrid clouds

Most of respondents of TAdviser in May, 2014 of IT service companies of one of the main "points of growth" of the Russian market of IT services called hybrid cloud solutions (i.e. the combining models of a private and public cloud). As note in Servionica companies, feature of such hybrid solutions – reliability and high performance at rather low cost and a possibility of a configuration under needs of the customer.

"Huge interest" in hybrid clouds is noted also in Microsoft.
"Perhaps, it is the most popular scenario of development of IT in the next several years. The hybrid cloud helps to expand possibilities of infrastructure and to find new ways of fall forward and quality of the services provided to business and at the same time increases effective management of the investments which are already made in local infrastructure", - experts of the company note.
Microsoft stakes on seamless connection of local infrastructure and public services Microsoft Azure, including within the Cloud OS platform and planned to an exit of Microsoft SQL Server 2014.

In addition to Microsoft and other large vendors of cloud solutions offer platforms for creation of hybrid cloud environments, including, for example, to HP, EMC, IBM and others. On these solutions proposals of the largest Russian providers of cloud services are built.

"Third Line" of support

In view of systematic complication of technologies the most demanded are expert support lines, or, using terminology of ITIL, "the third line" of support.
"These services mean support and ensuring fault tolerance within highly specialized technology, a product or process business. For example, support of a local network, database, different business applications", - explained TAdviser in CORUS Consulting company.

At provision of services by own forces the company faces following difficulties:

  • Search of the profile specialist – it is difficult to interview the expert of narrow area of the narrow-purpose specialist as it is necessary to know specifics without what it is necessary only to trust his summary.
  • The high cost of service – owing to the small number of specialists in the market of their salary is much higher than a salary of universal colleagues, and to organize full-fledged load of one specialist very difficult. As a result the cost of hour of real work of the specialist turns out 2-3 times higher, than the cost of the similar service at the companies rendering IT services.

At the same time it is worth to remember about additional risks which are born by the regular unique specialist: lack of substitution in case of a disease, dismissals, a possibility of "arm-twisting" to the management regarding salary increase, etc.

Services in the principle of "one window"

The IT companies note the growing demand for complex services in the mode of "one window" with a wide regional scope. The last is especially important for the large geographically distributed companies of all industries, according to Irina Semyonova, the marketing vice president of Maykor company.

"Complex services are in demand", - assured also of CROC company. According to experts of the company, by transfer of certain systems also support of computing infrastructure at which these systems work is demanded. In general demand for outsourcing of support of computing infrastructure considerably grew up in 2012-2013, the set of new contracts is signed.

The Open Technologies company, for example, began to develop more intensively the direction of service of the engineering systems and providing applied instruments of control and optimization of maintenance and operation of IT systems, such as professional monitoring which is already mentioned above. Demand for such services grows, the number of real projects – are more and more, specialists say.
