Oracle Academy

Oracle Academy offers pupils and educational institutions a free and full range of the software, curricula, auxiliary technologies, professional development course for teachers, services of support and resources for certification. Coordinators of the program cooperate with the state and private organizations for providing the tools to teachers necessary for attraction and stimulation of pupils and training of future innovators and leaders. Within the Oracle Academy program pupils will get practical experience of work with technologies that will help them to prepare for training in higher education institutions and professional activity during an era of Big Data, cloud computing and Internet of Things.

History

On October 1, 2015 the Oracle corporation and Higher School of Economics National Research University announced start of the educational project "Digital transformation of business with Oracle: the new horizons in Russia". The joint rate is a unique educational initiative of training of young specialists in Russia.

The training program is developed jointly by Oracle Academy and Higher School of Economics National Research University and expected students of older years of technical, economic and managerial specialties. Its purpose - to help to receive the practical skills necessary for the solution of real problems of business. To participation more than 15 thousand students of the Russian higher education institutions are invited.

Innovations change a business environment and increase the importance of digital data. For 27% of heads the ability to manage data during a digital era is task No. 1, and 46% of the companies invest in skills of work with ^[1]

Oracle Academy (2015)

Participants will be able to learn what competitive advantages, new approaches and disruptive solutions appear during an era of digital technologies. The new course is devoted to the most current trends in IT and to the best business practices: Internet of Things (Internet of Things), Big Data, mobile applications (Mobile Applications), human resources management (Human Resources Management), supply chain management (Supply Chain Management).

Rate "Digital transformation of business with Oracle: the new horizons in Russia" transfers work with students to new level, attracting in educational process of applied occupations and the practicing specialists.

Using a new course of Oracle expands investments into development of professional staff in Russia, promoting receiving the best practical experience which will serve as an incentive to creation of the innovative solutions.  Within a social initiative of Oracle Academy about 100 higher education institutions in Russia develop the educational processes, supporting more than 10 thousand students annually. For the last five years more than 100 thousand students from Russia and the CIS countries participated in the Olympic Games Oracle on programming on Java and SQL.

The educational program began to work in 2015 academic year and consists of three osnovy blocks:

• theoretical online occupations,
• a series of master classes from experts of Oracle
• the completing championship.

In the championship students will compete in the solution of real business projects. The students who listened to all program and successfully passed estimated tests will be allowed to participation in the final. Authors of the most creative business solutions will have an opportunity of cooperation with leading specialists of Oracle.

The final and summing up will be held in the middle of October, 2015 in Business incubator of Higher School of Economics National Research University.
