2017: Research IHS

In September, 2017 the IHS Technology analytical company published results of a research of the market of radio-link communication. The overview reflects perception of equipment manufacturers of radio-link communication by mobile operators. During the research opinions of telecommunication companies from the different countries to which share in 2016 23% of a world capital expenditure in a telecom fell were studied.

According to IHS, in terms of revenue from sales of the equipment of radio-link communication for 2016 first place was won by Huawei from shares in 22%. Afterwards NEC (17%), Ericsson (16%) and Nokia (9%) were located.

At the same time Ericsson received the highest assessment from operators. The Swedish company appeared in leaders in 8 of 10 categories: reliability of products, price relation and functionality, service maintenance and technical support, development plan of the software, width of a product line, security, solutions for management and innovation. 

About 67% of the respondents polled by IHS called Ericsson leading manufacturer of the equipment for radio-link communication. Huawei which took the second place lagged behind the leader on 10 percent points. The three of the best was closed by Nokia with 52 percent result (see the table below).

Ericsson notes that radio-link communication plays more and more important role in increase in number of LTE networks and in preparation for start of technology 5G. According to forecasts of the company, this communication will provide connection of 65% of the websites of wireless communication. A transport network of mobile communication and in particular radio relay lines of steel for Ericsson the key directions, reported a lava of division of network infrastructure of Ericsson of Nishant Batra.[1]
