According to the new rating of TAdviser VIDEOCONFERENCING the companies Polycom, Cisco and Russian VideoMost from became the most effective producers of systems for Russia in 2016 SPIRIT.

Leadership was defined by the appreciation, in particular, received by such parameters of comparison as scaling options, fault tolerance, the supported communications protocols, compatibility with the VIDEOCONFERENCING equipment, quality of video, etc. The importance of these parameters is defined by relevant trends of consumption in the Russian market of VKS.

Rating technique

For preparation of rating of VKS developers a number of the parameters having the greatest value from the point of view of the existing and potential customers of the VKS systems was selected. Including were estimated: requirements to the server and to an Internet channel on the party of the server/user, a scaling option and fault tolerance, the supported modes of communication and technology of adaptation of quality of video, the number of simultaneous conferees, possibilities of joint viewing documents, carrying out broadcastings and polls, the supported communications protocols, integration opportunities and so forth.

Each parameter was estimated on a scale from 0.2 to 1 points for each company. Estimates became on the basis of information obtained from the companies (cm detailed information in the Rating of suppliers of VKS: Functional comparison) and also on the basis of expert data.

A certain weight of point was appropriated to each parameter of assessment. Ranging of the companies was carried out on the final point got by summing of the points appropriated to the companies by each parameter.

Today VKS - the daily instrument of communication for most the enterprises and state structures which helps to optimize expenses and to increase process performance. The main restraining factor for projects the high cost of products is considered – and here get the increasing advantage domestic, more available, developments which are not of a lower quality than world leaders any more.

Taking into account today's realities, reduction of budgets and objective need to use more economic solutions, the priority of customers begins to be displaced on software solutions and cloud services. Technical issues, complexity of work with systems remain negative factors for market development of VKS in Russia. Representatives of SPIRIT and Mind agree in opinion that preserving of already perfect investments into infrastructure of VKS remains one of key trends in the market of a video conferencing. In the next years growth will be caused, first of all, at the expense of more economic and flexible in deployment and scaling of the software solution here, note in Mind. In terms of replacement and the VKS expansion of infrastructure, customers are more and more focused on functionality of the classical server of a multipoint video conferencing (MCU) for significantly smaller money.

Also in SPIRIT company consider that, despite high technology level of the Russian software products for a video conferencing, in many large corporations and the state organizations of the Russian Federation continue to buy more expensive products of foreign production simply "on a habit". And the domestic companies need just the return – formation of a habit to buy Russian and acceleration of rates on implementation of import substitution policy and transition on Russian software.
