2014: Shares of class C begin to be traded under a ticker of GOOG

On April 3, 2014 shares of a C class begin to be traded officially at the Nasdaq exchange under a ticker of GOOG.

2012: Split of stocks some to two

On April 12, 2012 Google announces separation of stocks some to two, so-called Split during which there are not voting shares of a C class which will be traded under a ticker of GOOG.

2004: Share placing on Nasdaq for $1.67 billion

On August 19, 2004 began sale of the stocks in the stock market, i.e. became the public company Шаблон:To Nasdaq. Share value is estimated at $85 apiece that does its capitalization equal to $23 billion. In the first day of biddings of paper flew up for 18% that is much higher, than in average growth of papers in day of placement that year - 8.9%.

Very few people then assumed that the company is waited by such success. Its shares began to be traded under a ticker of GOOGL and by August, 2016 added, taking into account Split, about 1700%.

During the IPO nearly 20 million actions for the total amount of $1.67 billion dispersed. For comparison, in 8 years of the IPO of Facebook was almost in 10 times more - $16 billion. Actually Google got only 1.2 billion US dollars. The company sold not all securities belonging to it: Google had even more than 250 million actions of which it is free to dispose at discretion.

Google issued stocks of two types: normal (Class A, only 33.6 million pieces) which began to be resold in the system of NASDAQ, and exclusive (Class B — 237.6 million pieces) which circulation is limited to "walls" of the company. Each preferred share during the vote can counterbalance ten normal.

On August 30, 2004 on specialized marketplaces biddings began options of Google company.
