CNews Analytics prepared new rating — the Target of CNews: The leading developers Data Capture in Russia. The research problem was to define relevant alignment of forces in this segment by consideration of 4 solution providers: Abbyy, Cognitive Technologies (Cognitive technologies), Kofax, EMC. Key parameters of comparison selected project experience, functionality, a scope of the main business scenarios of document handling.^[1]

In the center of a target – "the perfect company", i.e. the experienced supplier with the big saved-up examination, the representing all relevant feature set in the Data Capture-products guaranteeing quality and availability of the solution. The leader of the rating – the Russian company ABBYY. It is possible to refer wide project experience to strengths of this vendor in the Russian market, the developed partner network and availability of technical support. From a function point of sight the product of ABBYY is estimated as rather full meeting requirements of the market. It is possible to refer not the lowest cost of solutions to weaknesses of this vendor.

The following player Misheni – EMC with the solution EMC Captiva. The functionality of the solution is estimated as adequate to the current state of the market. It is possible to refer also logically built work with final customers through network of partners to strengths of this vendor. To weak — the fact that the product EMC Captiva is rather difficult in implementation and customization under unique business processes.

Other player – the Kofax company, known in international market. The product of this supplier in the technology roadmap has good characteristics, however taking into account continuous improvement of the competing products, Kofax probably should accelerate a cycle of release of new versions of software. In Russia positions of the company are so far poorly noticeable: there is no representation in Russia, the product is not adapted for a number of specific business challenges, and the partner network here still is at a formation stage.

The Cognitive Technologies company – the Russian software developer - so far conducts rather closed policy in the market, not angazhiruya emergence of new versions of software.

In general this market shows some kind of stability concerning segmentation – actually recorded provision of players. Here it is possible to speak as about the explicit leader in terms of the number of the implemented large projects, about his "followers", and about some number of the small players going in a big separation and to which general share less than 5% of all market fall. From the technology point of view products of ABBYY, EMC, Kofax meet the most relevant requirements of customers, and the clear advantage is not observed at one of these players.

The current list of key players, apparently, will be recorded in such type in the next several years. At the same time one of the most important trends of the market is data entry by means of mobile devices. According to Harvey Spencer Associates, by 2018 the exponential growth of this direction in the world to $3.2 billion is expected. Also it is expected that by 2016 in 65% of cases for input of documents in an information system the camera of the smartphone or the tablet computer will be used. At the heart of the Target of CNews – visual model of assessment of suppliers of software solutions for stream input of data (Data Capture).

2 main criteria for evaluation of the companies were selected:

• Project experience and presence in the Russian market
• Functionality

These criteria are presented on the diagram in the form of 2 straight lines which are crossed on the center of the Target.

The crosspoint – a conditional point "at most", here should be "the perfect company" at which level the estimated players aim.

Each of 2 evaluation criteria includes a set of certain parameters (see below). In total 16 parameters of assessment were selected. Parameters have different weight. Provision of participants of rating on axes of coordinates is defined by an average score in all respects, selected in 2 evaluation criteria.
