2018: Growth in turnover to 13.5 billion rubles

On May 21, 2019, Axoft, a service IT distributor in Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia (hereinafter VECA), announced the results of fiscal year 2018 (ended in March 2019). The company increased its turnover to 13.5 billion rubles - by 25% compared to the 2017 financial year. Axoft showed positive profitability dynamics, while adjusting the volume of the partner network and the number of transactional transactions.

The state continues to be the main driver of the Russian IT market. As a result, in 2018, Axoft's demand for domestic software increased by 50% compared to the same period in 2017, and the share of Russian software reached almost half of the company's turnover. This trend is likely to continue further, since the potential for import substitution has not been fully realized: the state has developed more than 10 state programs and national projects that involve the introduction of IT; there are plans to transfer to domestic OS, office software and DBMS and connect state-owned companies to the import substitution policy. In connection with the emergence of the law on the protection of CII and the continuing growth of cyber attacks, the need for information security solutions increased, which was also reflected in Axoft statistics: in 2018, turnover in this area increased by 35% compared to the 2017 fiscal year.

Axoft's investment in Import Substitution, which began in 2016 and brought its result in the form of a 50% increase in the turnover of Russian solutions in 2018, played a significant role in the high growth dynamics. This became possible, including through the involvement of promising IT manufacturers in cooperation, raising the level of awareness of partners and customers, the formation of a strong project team and the development of the online service "Quick Search for a Domestic Substitute Product." Among Russian vendors, the largest increase was shown by Aladdin R.D., InfoTeCS, Security Code, Kaspersky Lab, NPO RusBITech, NPO Echelon, Infowatch, Positive Technologies, UserGate and many others.

At the same time, commercial companies, according to Axoft statistics, more often opted for world market leaders represented in Gartner quadrants. The largest consumers of foreign IT solutions were organizations representing the mining, financial, insurance, transport industries and those who are export-oriented. Among foreign vendors, Fire Eye, Micro Focus (HPE), Palo Alto Networks, Red Hat, SolarWinds, Trend Micro and many others had the largest turnover.

In fiscal 2018, Axoft increased turnover by 25%, which is higher than the growth dynamics of the Russian IT market, which, according to various estimates, ranges from 10% to 17%. Axoft explains this by implementing a previously approved strategy for market presence. The company is developing in two directions: design and transactional. The project direction requires the development of deep product and technical competencies; transactional is associated with the supply of licenses and services through an automated online platform.

The division of the business led to changes in the structure, internal business processes and approaches of the company. In 2018, within the framework of the project business, Axoft launched a technical outsourcing service, invested in product and technical competencies, acquired demo equipment for key vendors, and strengthened the team of engineers. Axoft was engaged by partners as a technical outsourcer and implemented a series of large IT projects in the oil and gas, financial, banking and retail sectors: in total, 113 pilot projects and implementations were completed in fiscal year 2018.

The company noted the growth associated with the latest transformations in several areas at once: information security (35%), IT infrastructure (38%), Cloud (60%).

At the end of 2018, the volume of the partner network amounted to 4245 partners in total in the Russian Federation and the ECA countries, 1306 of which have the status of active partners. The volume of the partner network is 10% lower than the same period last year. The company explains the reduction in the number of resellers by the consolidation of the partner business, which in turn led to greater manageability - reducing operational risks and increasing profits.

AxoftCloud cloud service provider opens

Axoft, a service IT distributor in Russia and the CIS, launched AxoftCloud in January 2016. Already in 2016, any Axoft partner will be able to try himself as a cloud service provider. According to the distributor's forecasts, at least 120 partners will join the new sales model over the year.

The main task of the distributor is to form packaged services for partners and their customers, delivered according to the cloud sales model. The results of a survey of partners conducted by Axoft at the launch stage of the direction revealed that the most promising solutions in terms of sales in the partner channel can be: Office 365 (22%), MyOffice (19%), 1C in the cloud (18%), virtual office (14%), MyWayhouse (10%). Solutions that will be included in Axoft's cloud portfolio in 2016 have been proposed as answer options.

Annual turnover growth by 21%

The company's annual turnover grew by 21% in ruble terms and amounted to 5.6 billion rubles. Reorganization
