The Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan (AN of RU) performs:

  • broad spectrum of basic and application studies;
  • development of priority scientific and technical programs and innovation projects for republic;
  • training of highly qualified scientific personnel;
  • implementation of results of the researches and the innovative technologies in practice.

32 research establishments are a part of AN of RU for April, 2019.

History

2019: Cooperation with Rusatom Healthcare and "Rusat – the International network"

On April 15, 2019 it became known that JSC Rusatom Healthcare, an industry complex "Rusat — the International Network" (RIN) and Institute of nuclear physics of Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed the memorandum of cooperation in radiation technologies and nuclear medicine.

From Rusatom Healthcare the document was signed by the CEO Shibanov Alexander, from RMS - Alexander Merten, from the Uzbek side – the president of Academy of Sciences Bekhzod Yuldashev.

The parties agreed about joint study of the project on creation of cyclotron radiochemical production on the platform of Institute of nuclear physics of Uzbekistan which assumes production of radio isotope products in Uzbekistan and its implementation as in the territory of the republic, and abroad.

The memorandum also includes the project on creation in Uzbekistan of the multi-purpose center of radiation (MPCR) which will render services of radiation processing on a contract basis to producers of medical products and agricultural products.

The signed document opens for us other horizons of cooperation on such perspective scientific and technical directions as production of radio isotope products, unknown materials and radiation processing. Development of use of modern radiation technologies in Uzbekistan will promote quality improvement of our agricultural products and also increase in export volumes.
