The beginning of the use of unmanned trucks in the special operation zone

Evgeny Dudorov, executive director of the Android Technology NGO, said in early May 2023 that unmanned trucks would be used in the zone of a special military operation to deliver humanitarian supplies and various ammunition.

He clarified that this type of transport will be used to evacuate wounded soldiers. By the beginning of May 2023, the company is engaged in work on the refinement and "de-solidification" of high-speed trucks. A prototype self-driving truck is being tested at one of the industrial plants, where "the car effectively shows itself."

Already in the near future we will see these trucks in action. However, in this direction, the tasks are very difficult, since there is no navigation-connected infrastructure to ensure continuous control over the state of the route, but all tasks are solved, - said Dudorov.

In April, a new RUD-7 reconnaissance drone capable of dropping cargo from the air was planned to be sent to the SVO zone. This was announced to TASS by the head of the laboratory for external piloting and operation of unmanned aircraft of the Research Institute of Computing Complexes (NIIVK) Vitaly Dolgov.

According to him, the RUD-7 was created on the basis of RUD-250 at the request of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to him, for unmanned trucks in the zone of a special military operation there is a range of tasks. For example, evacuation of the wounded, delivery of ammunition, food and medicine.[1]

2022: Launch of production of domestic electric motors for drones

As it became known in mid-October 2022, the Russian scientific and production association (NPO) Android Technology is preparing to launch electric engines for unmanned aerial vehicles. The first samples of new products will arrive in November 2022.

According to the executive director of the Russian scientific and production association (NPO) "Android Technology," the company is a project to create a line of domestic electric motors for UAVs. A line of 18 types of electric motors of the ATB series is provided.

NPO "Android Technology" launches the production of domestic electric motors for drones

The relevance of the developments of "Android technology" is caused by the fact that by mid-October 2022, most domestic aircraft and copter-type drones use imported electric motors, created mainly China in and countries. European Union

According to Dudorov, by mid-October 2022, Android specialists are consulting with Russian developers and manufacturers of drones, who share with them their needs for drone propulsion systems for the period 2022-2025.

NPO "Android Technology," created in 2009, over 13 years has developed more than 120 robotic complexes in the field of medicine, education, space. The company mass-produced high-torque synchronous electric motors with permanent magnets of the AT Drive series in case and unsheltered design with a capacity of up to 550 W. The company also produces axial collector-free electric motors with permanent magnets of the AX Drive series with a capacity of up to 260 kW, which have found their use in the ground robotic complex "Marker.ru."[2]
