History

2019: Veritas purchased Aptare

On April 8, 2019 the Veritas company announced completion of the transaction on acquisition of Aptare company. Transaction amount does not reveal.

As noted, inclusion in a product line of Veritas of the platform IT-analysts Aptare gives to the company the chance to add products on to data protection, such as NetBackup, Backup Exec and InfoScale, with a full range of solutions for extraction of statistical information, its analysis and creation of reports. Veritas expects to offer the customers of function of tracking of history and identification of trends, dynamic summary panels, possibilities of forecasting and predictive analysis a status of corporate environment of data protection.

According to representatives of the company, the updated set of products is suitable for cross-sales to the existing clients of Veritas. The solutions Aptare are focused on large customers, and the average size of the transaction exceeds $500 thousand. These solutions are already used in many corporate environments of customers of Veritas, including at 7% from 1000 best clients of the company. It gives to Veritas the chance to accelerate delivery of the modern platform of creation of the reporting.^[1]
