2020: Goznak buys "Banking innovation systems"

At the beginning of June, 2020 it became known that Goznak buys "Banking innovation systems". The producer of banknotes, coins, payment cards, identification documents and driver's licenses belonging to Rosimushchestvo submitted the corresponding petition to the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS).

Goznak purchases 99.5% of authorized capital of "The banking innovation systems". It is going to close the transaction at the end of 2020. Its cost does not reveal. The junior partner of NEO Center company Igor Mytnik estimates 100% of the company at 250-300 million rubles. He reported about it to RBC.

Thanks to such systems each banknote made at printing factories of JSC Goznak undergoes sorting, recalculation, quality check and also other transactions connected with support of its lifecycle in the automatic mode. This unique equipment requiring continuous development. It is especially relevant for promotion of products of JSC Goznak in foreign markets. According to a source of RBC, security officers insisted on purchase of "The banking innovation systems" by Goznak.

The president of Russia banking association Georgy Luntovsky says that the expediency of acquisition can speak, first, cost optimization as the company is one of permanent suppliers of Goznak and its integration into structure of Goznak in general will increase management efficiency and will reduce risks of dependence on suppliers.
