Blue Microphones — the company founded in 1995 which develops and makes microphones, earphones, sound recording devices, signal processors and musical professionals, musicians and consumers accessories. Blue Microphones sells microphones under such brands as Yeti, Snowball and Spark Digital. Prices for products vary from $60 to $4000.

History

2018: Logitech purchased Blue Microphones

On July 31, 2018 the Swiss producer of computer peripheral devices Logitech announced purchase of Blue Microphones for $117 million. All amount will be paid from own means of the buyer, i.e. without attraction of actions.

Blue Microphones will fill up the list of the brands developed by Logitech. Among them Astro Gaming, Jaybird and Ultimate Ears also appear.

Professional Blue Microphones microphones

It is supposed that acquisition of Blue Microphones will allow Logitech to strengthen considerably the positions in a segment of headsets and webcams in which Blue Microphones technologies will be applied.

The CEO of Blue Micphones John Maier considers that his company, having joined Logitech, maybe further to release "the most abrupt microphones on the planet".

Logitech is not going to remove the Blue Micphones brand from the market in spite of the fact that all personnel of the bought company will join a command of Logitech.[1]
