2019: Rostec and MSU will create the center for fight against oncological diseases

State Corporation Rostec and Lomonosov Moscow State University on February 14, 2019 signed the agreement on cooperation in the field of development and implementation of technologies for fight against oncological diseases.

Under the terms of the agreement, Rostec will create based on MSU the Center of therapy of oncological diseases on the basis of modern technologies, will organize production and acquisition of the necessary equipment, operation and service of the center and also rendering medical services.

The university, in return, will provide the land plot and infrastructure, will provide coordination of works on design with structural divisions of MSU, will organize works on scientific maintenance of activity of the center and also training and development.

Rostec and Rosatom will struggle together with oncological diseases

The document was signed by the industrial director of a radio-electronic cluster of State Corporation Rostec Sergey Sakhnenko and the vice rector for capital construction and infrastructure development Moscow state of the university of M.V. Lomonosov Alexey Biryukov.

Rostec actively participates in implementation of the Health care national project, one of the priority directions of which is fight against oncological diseases. In March, 2018 the president expressed the need upgrades of the oncological centers and building of a debugged chain — from early diagnostics before timely treatment of cancer diseases — Sergey Sakhnenko noted.

According to him, for February, 2019 in Russia on 2 million people one hi-tech center of diagnostics and therapy of cancer, and is the share of 5 million Russians — only one PET / KT-skaner, cancer allowing to diagnose most authentically. The signed agreement will allow to make modern methods of diagnostics and therapy of oncological diseases more available to residents of Russia.

The agreement assumes mutual exchange of experience and information in the field of development of modern methods of therapy of cancer, creation of the joint working groups and the commissions. The parties will also conduct joint development and deployment of the innovative medical technologies, to conduct cross-disciplinary researches in the field of development of proton therapy and domestic health care in general. The list of the main directions includes also assistance in training of qualified personnel, creating favorable conditions for rendering high-quality medical care to the population of the city of Moscow and to other citizens of the Russian Federation at diagnostics and treatment of oncological diseases.

Using the capacity of MSU, we are going to develop a complex of the innovative technologies for diagnostics and treatment of oncological diseases, as much as possible to tekhnologizirovat process of use of modern scientific knowledge in the field of proton therapy, to create regulations and clinical recommendations so that in the subsequent together with Rostec in short terms to expand network of the centers of proton therapy taking into account the uniform quality standards — Alexey Biryukov shared.

The signed agreement — the next step to project implementations of Rostec on creation of network of the centers of an onkoterapiya in regions of the country. In 2018 the Schwabe holding of State Corporation Rostec signed agreements with administrations of Primorsky Krai and the Novosibirsk region on creation of such centers based on the Novosibirsk State University and Far Eastern Federal University.
