CloudLock — the American developer of cloud means of information security. The company founded in 2007 creates the application programming interfaces (API) which use the enterprises and the organizations for monitoring of documents and other content which employees Office 365 Google Drive applications into cloud services (load Salesforce.com; in total about one thousand different services are supported). By the end of June, 2016 CloudLock attracted in total $35 million investments.

2016: Cisco buys CloudLock for $300 million

On June 28, 2016 the producer of network equipment Cisco announced CloudLock purchase almost for $300 million. Due to this acquisition the American IT giant will strengthen the business in information security field (cybersecurity).

Under the terms of the agreement, Cisco will pay for CloudLock about $293 million cash and in the form of remunerations for accomplishment of the different purposes — for example, for employee retention of CloudLock under a wing of the new employer.[1]

Cisco purchased the developer of means of protecting of clouds Microsoft and Google for $300 million

The transaction on sale of CloudLock is going to be closed during the period from August to October, 2016. After accomplishment of all necessary formalities all personnel of CloudLock will join division on development of the cybersecurity Cisco Networking and Security Business Group systems under the leadership of the senior vice president and the general manager David Goeckeler.
