On July 23, 2015 the IBM company announced purchase of Compose company. Financial terms of transaction are not disclosed[1].

According to representatives of IBM, the broad spectrum of the solutions of databases proposed by Compose significantly will expand use of the IBM Bluemix platform for many application developers and services which look for possibilities of creation and use of databases on the basis of an open source code.
