Connecterra is the Dutch agrotechnical-startup developing the platform based on machine learning for dairy farms. This solution helps to reduce use of hormones and antibiotics in agriculture and also to increase performance of farms.  The platform uses sensors for collection of information about an animal, data arrays and mobile application. Using technology farmers can estimate the state of health of cows and their productivity, monitor the impact of changes, for example in a diet, on herd.

History

2020: Attraction of €7.8 million investments, including from AFK "Sistema" fund

On June 22, 2020 Connecterra  announced attraction of €7.8 million investments. The venture fund AFK "Sistema" Sistema VC and also some other investors, including ADM Capital, Kersia, Pymwymic and Breed Reply took part in a round of financing of Series B.

In the press release it is noted that it is about the largest investment transaction of Series B among the European companies occupied with livestock production. The startup intends to spend the raised funds for expansion and improvement of the platform.

AFK "Sistema" invested in the system developer of condition monitoring of health of cows

The president of Sistema VC venture fund Dmitry Filatov called agriculture large market which uses new tools and is poorly subject to changes.

The founder and the CEO of Connecterra Yasser Hokhar says that thanks to the "clever" assistant the European farm on 100 heads can expect additional annual profit in €30 thousand. Such known brands as Danone and Bayer are among clients of Connecterra.
