Consortium on development of an ecosystem of developers and decision makers for DWH
2019: Agreement on creation of consortium
On July 10, 2019 between development center and productions mikroelektronikigs Nanotech, DEPO Computers company and the Petrozavodsk state university signs the agreement on creation of the consortium aimed at development in Russia of an ecosystem of developers and producers of products and services for the storage systems (SS) for market grouping of competitive solutions.
Agreement parties agreed about joint project implementation on development of domestic goods and hardware-software solutions in the field of DWH and to production of ADP equipment, peripheral and telecommunication equipment for DWH in the territory of the Russian Federation. Integration of technologies of participants for development of joint products began. The consortium is open for cooperation and continues search of partners.
In the agreement it is specified that formation of a domestic ecosystem of developers and producers of hardware-software solutions should promote digital sovereignty of the country; the parties are also obliged to promote promotion and projects implementation on development, design and production of domestic hardware-software solutions, to develop domestic element base and electronic components for DWH, ADP equipment, peripheral and telecommunication equipment; extend the best practices based on domestic technologies and ADP equipment of the Russian production; promote creation of new jobs in the country.

Consolidation of key players for the solution of strategic tasks will be approved with the updated state policy in the field of the domestic radio electronics assuming according to forecasts, formation of different product and project consortia for consolidation of industry players and resources on the disruptive directions.

By estimates of analytical center GS Group, the market of storage systems in Russia develops towards all-flash-solutions that corresponds to global trends. Only deliveries of SSD to Russia in 2018 showed height more than 30% in comparison with 2017. At the same time turnover of the market of SSD in Russia remained at the previous level — about 200 million USD. Gradual decrease in the average price of SSD in the market also is a trend and creates additional incentives for transition to DWH of all-flash.
