Conworx Technology is the German software developer, intended for connection, management and integration of the medical equipment and devices used for diagnostics in places of observation of patients. The company is known on development of such solutions as POCcelerator, UniPOC and AegisPOC.

2016: Siemens Healthineers buys Conworx

In November, 2016 the German producer of the medical equipment Siemens Healthineers announced Conworx Technology purchase. The cost of the transaction was preferred not to be disclosed.

It is supposed that the products Conworx will add a management system for medical data of Siemens RAPIDComm that will allow to expand the range of IT solutions for the equipment used at the patient's bed.

Because hospitals consolidate and create new offices of doctors, there was a huge need for the developing medical networks for seamless integration of hundreds of decentralized devices scattered in dozens of different places — the president of division of Siemens Healthineers on release of the equipment for patient care on places Peter Koerte says. — It is obvious to us that for satisfaction of needs of our clients we should deliver the solutions providing reliable communications regardless of what analyzer is connected.

Under the terms of the agreement with Siemens Healthineers, staff of 75 employees of Conworx, including specialists in development of interfaces, applications and data management systems, will remain to work under the leadership of the CEO of the German company Roman Rosenkranz.

According to him, thanks to accession to Siemens Healthineers the Conworx company will get access to the global organization that will provide "the best support to our joint customer base".^[1]
