2019: The memorandum of intentions on creation of the joint venture

RZhD-technologii company (project office of digital transformation of the Russian Railway) and RT-Invest (child structure of State Corporation Rostec) signed the memorandum of intentions on creation of the specialized joint company – Development center of devices of LPWAN XNB network and technologies in the field of Internet of Things (IoT) for the Russian transport and logistic industry.

The document was signed by the chairman of the board of directors of "Russian Railway technology" – the director of the Russian Railway of information technologies Evgeny Charkin and the CEO of RT-Invest Andrey Shipelov.

The joint company will be engaged in development and promotion of domestic technologies in the field of rail transportation: creation of the innovation digital equipment, integration of the solutions IoT with the existing systems of railway transport, increase in industry competences and the export potential. Besides, within cooperation it is going to found venture fund which mission will be a development of the leading companies of industrial Internet of Things and transport telematics, support of startups and training.

Key tasks of joint venture – import substitution and security at the solution of national tasks of digitalization and automation of transport and logistic processes.

As expected, domestic devices of LPWAN XNB network and technology based on IoT will provide an effective monitoring system of rail transportation: status monitoring of ways and elements of the rolling stock, temperature of rails, break or frosting of contact network, places of intersection with highways, etc. Developments will be applied also to regular tracking of parameters of a status of a load: pressure, temperatures, tightness, transfer GPS/ GLONASS- coordinates, operational signaling, safety of seals.
