2019: Imperva purchased Distil Networks

At the beginning of June, 2019 Imperva announced Distil Networks acquisition. Financial and other making transactions of the company decided not to open.

Imperva noted that this purchase will allow to provide to clients necessary components for protection of their applications and API. The combination of a stack of security of applications of Imperva to Distil technology will provide protection against the most important vectors of the automatic attacks.

By the beginning of June, 2019 in Distil 110 people work, and the total amount of the involved investments reached $59 million according to the results of 11 rounds of financing.

The CEO of Distil Tiffany Olson Clément (Tiffany Olson Kleeman) notes that bots became threat for the companies of any size and in any country. According to her, Distil is concentrated on search of methods better to understand, detect and constrain the automated attacks.

According to the senior manager of Windcrest (the partner of Imperva) Rob Jackson, the number of the clients interested in protection against bots and management in it as it is the growing vector of the attacks which are rather cheap and effective for malefactors grows.

In a conversation with the CRN edition Jackson urged Imperva to integrate completely support departments and other transactions Distil Networks that partners and clients could take advantage of the transaction fully. He also told that the partner channel will receive benefit from an opportunity to consolidate suppliers and meeting requirements of most of customers to security of applications.[1]
