Endocare is a producer hardware and the software for cryoablation and microwave ablation. The main product of the company, Cryocare CS, provides transaction planning, accommodation of the patient and a premedikation for cryotherapy simplification. The company was founded in California in 1996, and its headquarters is located in Austin, the State of Texas.

History

2019: Varian purchased Endocare

In the middle of June, 2019 the producer of the medical equipment Varian Medical Systems announced acquisition of Endocare company to fill up the solution portfolio for cancer therapy. This transaction is an important step in the long-term strategy of Varian on transformation into the world leader of cross-disciplinary, integrated solutions for cancer therapy, the president and the chief executive officer of Preschool educational Institution Varian Dow Wilson told.

Krioablatsionny therapy in which the Endocare company is engaged represents specialized type of cryotherapy for minimum invasive treatment of a broad spectrum of cancer diseases. The main product of the company, Cryocare CS, can be used for cancer therapy of a prostate gland, kidneys and lungs and also for removal of metastases in a liver and for palliative interventions.

Varian purchased the developer of solutions for cancer therapy

Acquisition was financed at the expense of funds of the company and receipts from loans. Last year Endocare earned $30 million Varian expects, these transactions will have an insignificant impact on results of the company in 2019 financial year, and the integrated platform of intervention oncology in 2020 will be able to provide sufficient increase in value of actions.

It is considered that these acquisitions will provide to Varian Medical the leading position in the market of highly effective intervention oncology which, according to forecasts of the company, will grow from $860 million in 2019 to more than $1 billion in 2022.[1]
