Gazprom Media Ventures

The Gazprom Media holding creates corporate investment fund Gazprom Media Ventures which will advance the technology companies in exchange for percent from their revenue or a share in business, in February, 2016 the head "GPM-Tekhnologii" Fedotov Vadim reported about it.

The first venture transactions of new structure can take place during 2016.

According to RBC, work of fund will differ from usual model of venture investment. Usually funds invest money in the projects which interested them, however Gazprom Media Ventures will advance the companies at the advertizing capacities in exchange for percent from revenue (media for revenue share model) or a share in business (media for equity). In the first case projects in the field of e-commerce are interesting to fund, in the second — the technology companies with turnover from $1 million in a year^[1].
