2012: Collaboration with Cisco

On January 27, 2012 Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Informatization and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan Nikiforov Nikolay and Cisco Business Manager in Russia/CIS Betsis Pavel signed an agreement on mutual understanding and cooperation. The document is intended to strengthen and expand the strategic partnership between the Republic of Tatarstan and Cisco in the field of development and implementation of information and communication technologies.

The Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and Cisco have agreed to cooperate in the following areas: E-government, education, healthcare (telemedicine) and commerce

The agreement provides for the preparation of recommendations on the use of information technologies and services in the Republic of Tatarstan in these areas. To do this, a working group will be formed that will study Cisco's experience and projects aimed at developing a highly intelligent society, creating an effective economy, business and public administration system. Preparation of international events

The Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and Cisco will cooperate in the creation of information and communication infrastructure for the XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan and other large-scale events organized in the Republic of Tatarstan.

Education

In this area, it is envisaged to develop and implement joint projects on the use of the most modern information technologies in institutions of higher and secondary vocational education.
