The IBM corporation announced on May 25, 2015 opening of new office in Astana today. Expansion of presence in this region is performed according to an initiative of IBM directed to strengthening of positions of the company in emerging markets around the world.

The office in Astana will propose the advanced solutions and services of IBM for satisfaction of the growing customers needs of this region. In Kazakhstan the corporation already closely cooperates with a number of business partners. IBM also works with key players of the market from the different industries, including the sphere of natural resources, banking, transport and health care. Opening of office in Kazakhstan will allow to improve quality of the provided services of IBM and to propose to customers front lines and high-tech solutions on such strategic directions as analytics, cloud computing, mobility and social interaction.

In Kazakhstan IBM has a number of the acting clients from different industries. For example, among customers there is IBM in this region – Kazkommertsbank, one of the largest banks in Central Asia which implemented the project on creation of a new data processing center based on the IBM Power Systems server platform. Besides, IBM closely cooperates with the Kazakstan temir Sholas National company, the largest railway operator in Central Asia, and provides hardware and the software for effective management of freight and passenger traffic.
