iKinemathe software developer founded in 2006 in London for recognition the movement of hands, legs and the head of the person. Software allows to create animation, used in movies, virtual reality and video games.

iKinema develops the program engine which takes data at image capture from sensors which are put on the person. Further this engine is used for "revival" of characters who can be created on the basis of inverse kinematics — processing of the recorded video with people. Walt Disney, Sony and Twentieth Century Fox Film are among clients of a startup (for October, 2019).

2019: Apple purchased iKinema

In October, 2019 it became known of sale of iKinema of Apple corporation. Announced the first the MacRumors edition this transaction, and Apple confirmed purchase, but refrained from detailed comments, having confined to a trite phrase:

Apple was purchased by iKinema software developer

The Californian giant did not tell about plans for use of developments of iKinema. It is supposed that they can find application for improvement of the animated Emoji or will be provided to developers of games for iPhone. Besides, technologies can be involved in future products of Apple in the field of virtual and augmented reality.

According to the analyst of TF International Securities Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will release the first device for augmented reality in the first half of 2020. The gadget will work together with iPhone — in the smartphone the main image processing for the subsequent output of the picture to screens of the wearable headset will be performed. It means that the device can become easier and more convenient in comparison with autonomous helmets, like Microsoft HoloLens 2, equipped with computer modules.[1]
