In June, 2017 the companies Inter RAO UES also SAP registered joint venture Inter RAO LLC (according to data of the USRLE, registration date — on June 28, 2017) which was located in Innopolis — the innovation city of the republic Tatarstan. Authorized capital of the joint venture was over 4 billion rubles, at the same time the share in 19% belongs to Ltd company SAP CIS, and 81% — "Inter RAO IT", Inter RAO UES subsidiary company. By the CEO of joint venture it is specified Ivan Nikolaevich Shmykov.[1]
The director of public relations — the head of the block of information policy of Inter RAO Anton Nazarov told to Interfax of the purposes of creation of the joint venture. As he explained, within implementation in Russia of the Digital Economy program adopted by the order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1632-r of July 28, 2017, Inter RAO conducts work on creation of own IT products capable to become in the long term an alternative of the western solutions existing in the market. The decision on the beginning of joint work with SAP CIS and opening of joint venture based on the Innopolis special economic zone was for this purpose made.
