JouleX

In combination with the solution Cisco EnergyWise the solution JouleX for energy management will provide to customers simple and convenient methods of measurement and monitoring of energy consumption and also management tools energy consumption in networks and IT systems in all territory of the enterprise without installation on each device of software agents and hardware counters and without change of a network configuration. The software of JouleX helps to reduce energy consumption using monitoring, the analysis and energy management of all devices and systems connected to network. The politicians developed on the basis of the analytical data considering requirements of each enterprise separately are for this purpose used.

Staff of JouleX will be a part of the division developing technologies of "the connected power" in department of industrial solutions of Cisco (Industry Solutions Group) under the leadership of the vice president of Cisco company David Goddard. Under the terms of the signed agreement, in exchange for the stocks JouleX the Cisco company will pay about 107 million US dollars the cash and privileges directed to employee retention.
