Connection to a payment system of Sberbank

Mobile operators of Kazakhstan agreed to share network

In May, 2020 the largest mobile operators in Kazakhstan agreed to share network. The agreement on cooperation was signed JSC Kcell (Activ and Kcell), by KAR-Tel LLP (Beeline) and Mobile Telekomservice LLP (Tele2). Read more here.

2011: The fund of deposit insurance of Turkey seized $125 million from Kazakhstan, having proved that its share in Kar-Tel was taken away by family of the president of Kazakhstan

As it became known in April, 2011 the fund of deposit insurance of Turkey managed to seize from Kazakhstan $125 million as compensation for confiscation of the Kar-Tel mobile operator resold afterwards Vimpelcom. During trials the Turkish fund managed to prove that their share fraction was taken away by family of the president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

2007: 4 million subscribers

As of February 7, 2007 the subscriber base of "KAR-Tel" reached 4 million people. Till July, 2007 KAR-Tel LLP also provided services under the K-Mobile and Excess trademarks.

2005: The Beeline brand is started in Kazakhstan

On April 26, 2005 the Beeline brand is officially started in Kazakhstan.

2004: VimpelCom is redeemed by Kartel from 600 thousand subscribers for $425 million

In 2004 sale of the Russian company "VimpelCom" to cellular company "Kartel" for 425 million US dollars took place (minus debts for the amount of 75 million dollars). At the time of sale the debt of the Motorola company is paid completely off, all cities of Kazakhstan are covered with by cellular communication, the number of subscribers exceeded 600 thousand people.

As VimpelCom bought Kar-Tel see in a video interview with the seller of Margulanom Seysembayevym company.
