Kymeta is producer of the satellite systems and antennas providing high-speed data transmission. The company develops small devices for acceptance of a signal from any place in the world. Unlike normal satellite antennas the equipment of Kymeta is controlled with the help electronic engineers, and to it are not necessary any moving parts for work that gives it advantage. Structures of the company are installed on cars, trains, boats, etc.

History

2020: Attraction of $85.2 million investments

At the end of August, 2020 it became known of investment of $85.2 million in Kymeta. Most of all in this round the founder of Microsoft [enclosed [Bill Gates|Gates Gates]] — $78.5 million. The market value of a startup is not disclosed.

The total amount of funds which the startup received from the moment of the the bases, made $300 million. Lux funds are among investors Capital, Intelsat and Liberty Global. Bill Gates invested in Kymeta till 2020.

Bill Gates invested $80 million in the developer of satellite antennas

By the end of 2020 Kymeta is going to start service of monthly subscriptions to the satellite Internet for the state customers, the president and the executive operating and chief financial officer of Kymeta told Walter Berger. According to him, lease of one item of equipment will cost $1 thousand a month. Also it is going to release the antenna Kymeta u8 which will cost about $30 thousand.
