MISIS mining institute

The mining institute appeared as a part of National University of Science and Technology " MISIS " after consolidation of two universities in 2014. Is one of the oldest highest mining educational institutions of the country and conducts the history from the Moscow mountain academy founded in 1918. The Moscow mining institute is scientific and education center, training the scientific and engineering personnel for the mining industry.

For years of the existence the Mining institute produced more than 50 thousand engineers, more than 4 thousand candidates of science, about one thousand doctors of science who made a contribution to development of a mining complex not only the Russian Federation, but also the countries of the FSU and beyond.

The mining institute trains popular qualified personnel for the Russian and foreign companies which are engaged in investigation, production and processing of minerals. 8 departments specializing in all fields of activity of the mountain enterprises are a part of Mining institute.

A number of the centers specializing in advanced training and trainings (The center of strategic management and environment of commodity markets), Coal Physical Chemistry laboratory and Project expert center is a part of institute.
