The conventional classification of vulnerabilities of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) allows participants of the market of information security to talk in one language. Within this project of each vulnerability or threat also the short description by strictly certain rules is named.

The cybersecurity community widely supports the CVE standard, and many producers implement it in the solutions. Knowing the CVE identifying of specific vulnerability and using any of the products having the status CVE Compatible it is possible to obtain information on this security concern. Since standard launch the number of the organizations supporting CVE quickly grows; today their more than 150.
