JSC NIIME i Mikron is one of the developers and producers of integrated circuits, largest in Russia. Performance Indicators

2018: Revenue — 10.055 billion rubles (+ 3.5%)

The Mikron group, producer and the exporter of microelectronics, announced on July 24, 2019 operational and financial results of 2018. Based on reporting period the group showed growth on all key indicators. Revenue of Mikron Group for 2018 made 10.055 billion rubles that is 3.5% higher than an indicator of 2017. The net profit of group in 2018 was 584 million rubles. The RFID projects and also export sales and solutions for the new markets, including Internet of Things became main growth drivers.

During 2018 the Svetlana Semiconductors plant specializing in production of chips of industrial application was a part of production assets of group. Based on the MSP subsidiary company the joint venture with Moscow Metro for development of transport projects was organized. More than 50 new clients and partners and also distributors, integrators and partners in development and production joined an ecosystem of Micron.

More than 60 products and modifications, including 39 types of RFID tags, inleev and labels and also power management chips, industrial chips and RFID chips for requirements of digital economy are mastered in production. In general the projects implemented by the company provided growth of revenue in a segment of RFID for 126%.

In 2018 Micron produces more than 13 million the chip modules for finance and identification documents that twice (for 97%) above an indicator of 2017.

Expansion of production and optimization of technology processes allowed to record growth of release of plates of Ø200 of mm by 38%. According to forecasts of SEMI, production of integrated circuits on plates of Ø200 of mm will increase in 2019-2022 by 14% that is caused by increase in demand for mm Ø200 products against the background of high load of these lines worldwide.

Due to optimization of organizational structure, business process automation and reduction of management expenses labor productivity on group grew by 4% that is an important performance indicator of production.

Cooperation about Kamin-Plus in the field of development of software products based on RFID

On April 15, 2019 PJSC Mikron, producer and the exporter of microelectronics in Russia reported that they together with NPF Kamin-Plus, one of the Russian IT companies, signed the cooperation agreement on development of joint RFID projects. The companies will create and advance software solutions and multifunction RFID-applications for security systems and analytics.

The beginning of export deliveries of chips for automobile electronics to Asia

On January 23, 2019 there was information that the domestic manufacturer of microchips of Mikron begins export deliveries of the products for needs of producers automobile electronic engineers of century Asia. The first samples were already sent to customers in China and on Taiwan. One more target market of this region in Micron for themselves consider India, however owing to local mentality negotiations in this country proceed slowly.

Car electronics is meant as any systems of the automatic help to the driver — video recorders, parctronics, window regulators, signallings and so forth. (URS Certification, Great Britain) which Mikron successfully passed at the end of 2018. Mikron rolled down in multi-billion losses, record for 10 years

As detected CNews, the top domestic manufacturer of microchips — the Zelenograd enterprise "Mikron" — shows huge negative indicators continuously for nine years. During this time its net loss made 15.2 billion rubles. It follows from comparison of the new annual report of the organization for 2018 with similar documents of previous years[2].

In 2018 Mikron showed record (at least for the last decade) net loss in the amount of 4.41 billion rubles. For comparison, in 2017 this indicator was at the level of 1.62 billion rubles, in 2016 — 1.69 billion rubles. Last time Micron had a positive net profit in 2009 when it was 262 million rubles.

Besides, in 2018 for the first time in seven years negative was also a gross profit of the organization — its size was-453 million rubles.

Let's remind, the gross profit is meant as revenue (turnover) less cost value of the sold products or service taking into account depreciation. As for net profit, it is defined by the difference between a gross profit and operating expenses of the company which can include rent costs of premises, salary, transport and so forth and also at a deduction of the amount of taxes, a penalty fee, penalties and percent on the credits.

Revenue of Micron in 2018 in comparison with previous year grew by 909 million rubles — up to 7.6 billion rubles against 6.69 billion rubles the previous year.

Subsidies for chips for the World cards

As detected CNews in April, 2019, the Zelenograd plant "Mikron" during 2018 received from Minpromtorg 208.3 million rubles as compensation of costs for release of chips for the National Payment Card System (NPCS) World — under the agreement of October 25, 2017. Money was directed to the specified purposes in quality of a subsidy (not to confuse with standard contracting according to the results of state procurements)[3].

This subsidizing is regulated by the rules approved by order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1450 of December 23, 2016. The document meant "compensation of losses in the income" which arose at the companies because of release of chips in 2016-2019". As told CNews in Micron, the company in 2017 made and delivered more than 2 million the chip modules for the World cards. However, apparently from documents, the first money arrived into its accounts only in 2018.

For that year the company produced more than 3 million chips. "In 2019 further increase in supply rates is planned" — interlocutors of CNews noted, but did not begin to predict the volume of compensation money.

Practical training by 52 students of a bachelor degree and magistracy

On January 30, 2019 Mikron reported that in 2018 on it production and an externship there passed 52 students of a bachelor degree and a magistracy of higher educational and average special educational institutions of Moscow. Probationers from MIETA, the Ivanovo state chemical and technology university and the Zelenograd college received practical skills from experienced specialists of the enterprise and also studied production processes of microelectronic production and specifics of the market.

In total since 2000 student's practicians and training at the enterprise passed more than 400 people. On July 4, 2018 it became known that Moscow Metro and Mikron company created joint venture based on Mikron of the Security Guard Printing LLC — competence center on transport projects of Mikron Group. Growth of revenue by 13%

The Mikron group, producer and the exporter of microelectronics, announced on July 2, 2018 operational and financial results of 2017. Based on reporting period the group recorded growth on all key indicators.

Revenue of Mikron Group for 2017 made 9.7 billion rubles that for 13% exceeds an indicator of last year and for 10% — growth rate of the market. Growth of a gross profit was 11%, at positive dynamics of net loss of 88% in comparison with 2016. According to the CEO of the company Gulnara Hasyanova, 54% of export of microelectronic products from Russia are the share of Mikron.

Labor productivity grew by 8% due to optimization of organizational structure, business process automation and reduction of management expenses. One of key tasks of the company in connection with the growing demand for domestic EKB was upgrade and expansion of production. According to the company, in 2017 was it is tenfold performance on sealing section the chip modules is increased that allowed to optimize the diagram of production.

Within a year quick start of new solutions on the current products was organized that led to growth of revenue from RFID solutions for 42%. For 2017 at "RFID factory" of Micron more than 150 solutions for 20 industries were worked out and the funnel of sales is created from 354 projects. The period of development of the RFID solution, including with own software, was reduced at the same time to 3 months, including production of tags, specified in the company.

In 2017 reorganization of subsidiary companies as a result of which own integrator of RFID solutions and the Center of transport competences which specializes in transport projects both for acting, and for new intelligent transport systems are formed was carried out.

One of the main tasks of 2018 is study of similar business models for Internet of Things. Products of Micron are already applied in this segment, including in smart counters of the electric power.

Recertification of a quality management system in ISO 9001:2015

Mikron underwent recertification of the quality management system (QMS) according to the international standard ISO 9001:2015. Audit is booked by the international independent organization Bureau Veritas Certification.

Mikron at the beginning of January, 2018 announced the accession to the Association of Internet of Things (AIT) for collaboration in standardization of technologies and development of initiatives of their implementation.

According to the CEO of Micron Gulnara Hasyanova, the market of Internet of Things is in a formation stage, this chance needs to be used already at a standardization stage. According to her, the Russian standard for Internet of Things should include use of domestic EKB for identification of devices in public communication networks. It will provide the necessary security level at remote control with the connected objects and will help to minimize the risks inevitable at digitalization of society.

Cooperation with Asset on development of solutions of cryptoprotection

The Russian producer and the developer of software and hardware tools of information security Asset and the Russian producer of microelectronics Mikron in December, 2017 signed the agreement on cooperation on development of means of a kriptograficheskoyzashchita of information (CIPF).

The agreement provides interaction of the parties in the field of creation and promotion of the solution with hardware implementation of algorithms of GOST based on domestic microcontrollers. The companies agreed to develop products in different a form factors, such as USB and smart card, to enable their further certification and the realization.

It is expected that that the joint solution will promote increase in security of the state information systems to which high requirements for the level of security and use of "iron" of the Russian origin are imposed.

According to forecasts, penetration of devices 5G will make up to 50% of a total quantity of IoT devices. At the same time more than a half of products of microelectronics for Internet of Things are chips with regulations to 90 nanometers which can be produced including domestic enterprises. Creation of competence center on transport projects

On October 5, 2017 Mikron announced formation of competence center in the field of transport projects based on the subsidiary company "Mikron of the Security Guard Printing" (MSGP).

According to Gulnara Hasyanova, the transport systems — an important part of infrastructure of the smart city, depends on its work quality of life of citizens. Micron, in turn, has a successful experience of industry transport solutions as result more than 10 years of work with the enterprises of the Moscow transport hub and different regions. Thus, a task of newly created competence center — to replicate successful experience on transport companies in the million-plus cities of Russia and other countries both in the form of ready-made solutions, and with a possibility of localization of systems under needs of the customer.

Chips of Micron for transport cards (MIK1KMCM, K5016VG4N4 (MIK1312ED) and K5016HS1N4 (MIK640D/MIK64PTAS) have the status of domestic production of the first level (you watch Mikron Integrated microcircuits of MIK).

Passengers of the Moscow subway, city land transport, suburban electric trains (TsPPK) and Aeroexpress use products of Micron. Also Mikron delivered tickets in the transport systems of the different cities and regions of Russia: St. Petersburg, Kazan, Tula, Krasnodar, Kirov, Orenburg, Novosibirsk, Yakutsk and others. Mikron planned export deliveries of chips

On June 15, 2017 the Mikron enterprise announced development of the direction of RFID technologies in 2016.

The company is going to export own RFID chips to Venezuela and Vietnam. Until the end of 2017, according to the statement of the press service, deliveries of 4 million microchips for electronic policies of compulsory health insurance are planned and 5 million schemes for the National Payment Card System World[4].

Rusnano should sell to AFK "Sistema" a share in Micron until the end of 2017

On October 31, 2016 it became known of an exit of Rusnano company from the project of Mikron (earlier — "NIIME and Mikron") and sells a share in the chipmaker of AFK "Sistema" of Vladimir Yevtushenkov. The transaction should be closed until the end of 2017, will receive 8.1 billion rubles for 20.42% of Rusnano company, and System will bring the share in Micron to 90.6%. Investment was not the most profitable, experts recognize, but it is more profitable than other projects of Rusnano in microelectronics. "System", according to experts and market participants will look for in the project of the new state partner.

"Between System and Rusnano the agreement on the complete redemption of our share after accomplishment of a number of conditions is reached" — confirmed in Rusnano. Under the terms of the put option of 2014 transaction amount will be 8.1 billion rubles for 20.42% of stocks. Sources of Kommersant claim that the parties agreed about restructuring: 4.8 billion rubles of Rusnano will receive until the end of the year, and 3.3 billion rubles — no later than the end of 2017.

"Investment into Mikron allowed us to carry out two tasks at once: provide commercial effectiveness of investments and accelerate development of the Russian microelectronics. At the time of the declaration of the transaction the RTI holding controls 70.189% of shares of Micron, Rusnano possesses 20.42%, Rosimushchestvo has another 6.55%, the rest at individuals.

On September 7, 2016 it became known of inclusion of NIIME and the Mikron plant in the sanctions list of the agency of the industry and security of the USA (BIS).

Assets of NIIME and the Mikron plant, awaking like those will be detected in the USA, are subject to "freezing". Export of technologies for the company is limited.

The beginning of deliveries of the IC for the Glonass-K satellites

On July 15, 2016 the press service of JSC NIIME i Mikron announced the beginning of deliveries of radiation resistant integrated microcircuits of space application to navigation satellites of third generation "Glonass-K", within execution of the import substitution program.

Chips of development and production of Micron will replace foreign analogs in the blocks performing functions of information processing and ensuring communication. Samples of the Russian EKB underwent testing of working capacity as a part of the equipment of the satellite and are recommended for application. The first starts of the Glonass-K satellites with element base of Micron are planned for the end of 2017 — the beginning of 2018.

Mikron began development of element base for satellites of the Glonass-K project within the state program of import substitution after introduction in 2014 of sanctions for delivery of a number of elements of electronic component base.

Renaming into PJSC Mikron (Mikron)

For the purpose of reduction of constituent documents according to Chapter 4 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation (edition of 9/1/2015) JSC NIIME i Mikron since July 12, 2016 changed legal form and the name of society.

"NIIME and Mikron" and ISBC become technology partners

The ISBC group and JSC NIIME i Mikron entering into industry holding JSC RTI (AFK "Sistema") signed in the spring of 2015 the agreement on strategic technology partnership in the field of creation and implementation of joint developments based on the Russian MIK51SC72D microcontroller.

According to the signed agreement, ISBC acquires the exclusive right to use of the microcontroller as means of access isolation, calculation and storage of the electronic signature, means of authentication (including biometric) in a smart card form factor, or an USB token.

In the MIK51SC72D chip manufactured on Micron on topology of 180 nanometers at the hardware level cryptographic algorithms of verification of the electronic signature GOST R34.10-2001, R34.10-2012 are implemented. It supports biometric authentication on a fingerprint, has the built-in Java machine and a possibility of use of a smart card as payment, and as the e-wallet (it is certified according to the EMV standard).

The MIK51SC72D microcontroller is the first chip for generation, check and storage of the electronic signature which development and production were performed by the Russian company in the territory of Russia that as claim in ISBC, guarantees absence on the chip of any intentionally implemented harmful "tabs". Earlier hardware implementation of cryptographic algorithms was applied only in chips of foreign production.

Yevtushenkov asked Putin to support the Mikron plant

The major shareholder of AFK "Sistema" Vladimir Yevtushenkov in March, 2015 in the letter to Putin asked to finance Sistemy subsidiary company — the Mikron plant, the Vedomosti newspaper with reference to sources,[6], close to shareholders of the plant and Minpromtorg, reported in September, 2015[7].

It is noted that it is about a five-year public purpose-oriented loan in 25 billion rubles. Money will go for construction of factory of chips on topology of 28 nanometers.

Yevtushenkov really asked from the president to provide to Micron 25 billion in the form of the state credit, the resolution was lowered to promote the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry, the high-ranking official confirms. The credit was supposed to take 9.75% at the rate.

Yevtushenkov reported to the edition that he does not remember whether there was such letter. The representative of AFK Sergey Kopytov reported to the edition that the company prepares for production of processors of 45-28 nanometers and looks for an optimal variant of structuring and financing of the project.

2014

The first Russian two-nuclear Elbrus-2CM processors

At the end of 2014 released JSC NIIME i Mikron the first domestic dual core Elbrus-2CM microprocessors developed by MCST Ltd on technology of 90 nanometers.

Additional share issue increases a share to 25.1% by 12 billion rubles of Rusnano

In July, 2014 JSC NIIME i Mikron completed the additional issue of securities begun on December 20, 2013, having placed 17,765,906 shares worth 730 rub for the total amount of 12.97 billion rubles. After the end of placement the blocking share in "NIIME and Mikron" (25.101%) was received by Rusnano company, follows from the certificate of share capital structure for June 26, 2014 whereas for December 20, 2013 it had only one stock of Micron (later the share of Rusnano was indistinct to 20.42% during an additional issue). The share of the major shareholder of Micron, "RTI Microelectronics" (100% "subsidiary" of the RTI holding controlled by System), in comparison with December, 2013 decreased from 76.8 to 62.6% of stocks, and a direct share of the state — from 14.15 to 8.05%.

Increase in a share of Rusnano happened thanks to converting in in addition emitted stocks of Micron of 37.67% of stocks owned by state company Sitronics-nano. This enterprise participated in the joint project with Micron on production of chips with topology of 90 nanometers.

As a result of Mikron there was the only owner Sitronics-nano, and Rusnano — the shareholder of Micron.

Rusnano had no purpose to receive minimum blocking stake — the share of 25.101% turned out proceeding from assessment of Sitronics-nano company, the representative of Rusnano Denis Belozerov assures. The general investments into Sitronics-nano made 16.57 billion rubles from which for production of 90-nanometer chips of Rusnano invested 8.25 billion rubles in creation of the line, Belozerov explains. He says that now Mikron as the partner could increase the production capacities.

The representative of Micron Alexey Dianov sees the main effect from the transaction in simplification of project management and acceleration of decision making. That infrastructure of the enterprise belonged to Micron, and a part of the equipment of the line of 90 nanometers — Rusnano, service maintenance and even access to the equipment for correction of technology processes required approval in both companies that took from several days to one month, he explains. Now, when all equipment completely passes under control of Micron, no approval will be required and all issues will be resolved in several hours, Dianov[8] hopes[8].

The Mikron group consolidates production assets for the sake of creation of effective business structure which will be required for carrying out public placement of securities of the company in the future, the CEO of Micron academician of RAS Gennady Krasnikov says.

For July, 2014 the Board of Directors of Micron consisting of eight people includes only one representative of Rusnano — the senior investment manager Vladimir Konovalov, Dianov tells. Change of structure of Board of Directors of group is expected on September 22, 2014 at shareholder meeting. Perhaps, participation of the new shareholder in activity of the company will also be discussed at a meeting — Rusnano can provide the new orders connected with delivery of domestic element base on Mikron, Dianov hopes. Belozerov adds that Rusnano does not intend to interfere with operational management by Micron and acts as the portfolio investor.

Start of production of chips of 65 nanometers

JSC NIIME i Mikron will start production of chips of 65 nanometers (nanometer) in which about 3 billion rubles are invested in April, 2014. Financing of the project was performed on model of public and private partnership. In a technology part it was invested about 1 billion rubles from which 65% were invested by the state, and 35% - the enterprise. Funds were allocated for development of own technology of creation of chips. About 2 billion rubles were directed to the equipment and infrastructure. A half of this amount was selected within the federal target program "Development of Electronic Component Base", other half JSC NIIME i Mikron enclosed[9].

Product development on the basis of 65-nanometer technology, according to the company, lasted about two years and came to the end in December, 2013. Researches showed that transistors in new test crystals work 1.5 times quicker, than 90 nanometers technologies executed on technology which is already mastered at the enterprise. The consumed energy at the same time decreases more than twice.

In the III quarter 2014 Mikron is going to come to production volume of 500 plates a month. "We quickly react to market requests. And for us does not make big problems to increase production power", - Krasnikov commented.

There is an arrangement on production at the topology Mikron plant 65 nanometers of products of MCST Ltd developing Elbrus processors, ElVIS-NeoTech Ltd - developer of microprocessors for intelligent surveillance cameras, and Microelectronic Research Institute Progress - the developer and the chipmaker of GLONASS.

Mikron is entered to the plan of privatization

The Government of the Russian Federation approved by spring of 2014 of change in the plan of privatization of federal property for 2014 - 2016. So, according to the document, it is going to privatize 9.8% of stocks (2.433 mln pcs.) scientific research institute of molecular electronics and Mikron plant (Moscow). Obtaining certificate of power management of ISO 500001

In the summer of 2013 of JSC NIIME i Mikron underwent certification on compliance of requirements to the system of power management of ISO 50001-2011. Mikron - the first in Russia and the CIS the hi-tech microelectronic company which received this certificate. In the world it is slightly more than 400 organizations now, undergone certification on ISO 50001-2011, including Intel and X-Fab.

Implementation of this standard at the enterprise allowed to optimize costs for electrical, thermal energy and economic water at the expense of a possibility of their use in the recycling mode. Requirements for design and creation of new production capacities and engineering support using the energy saving equipment were developed for achievement of this purpose.

Within certification the new refrigerating compressor station having twice higher total refrigerating capacity at the smaller consumed electric power is created. More modern nitric compressor station is constructed. Air conditioning systems are re-equipped. Modern control facilities over expenses of primary and secondary energy resources are developed and implemented. The electric power fiscal metering system is created and put into operation that allowed to reduce costs of electric power approximately by 1.5-2 MW.

The system of power management – a recognized control system of receiving, management and expenditure of energy. Mikron invested more than 264 million rubles on reduction of the system of the energomenedzhement in compliance with the international standards, and it is expected that these investments will pay off during the near future. "Performance and capacities of our production grow, at the same time we consume "net" electricity, thus, the system of power management purchases a strategic importance both for us, and for our exacting world partners. If all Russian productions had an opportunity to pass to such system of power management, the efficiency of the Russian economy would increase", - the Chairman of the board of directors of JSC NIIME i Mikron G.Ya. Mikron redeems from Rusnano a share in Sitronics-nano

In May, 2013 JSC NIIME i Mikron begins the procedure of consolidation of production assets with the redemption of 12.5% of a share of Rusnano in project company "Sitronics-nano".

On May 29, 2013 12.5% of stocks Sitronics-nano for the total amount of 2 billion rubles were redeemed from Rusnano. As a result the share of "NIIME and Mikron" in JV Sitronics-nano grew to 62.25%[10].

According to Micron, Rusnano is not going to leave entirely business on production of microchips therefore for the 50% packet can receive partially monetary compensation, and partially – stocks of JSC NIIME i Mikron.

According to the head of Mikron group Gennady Krasnikov, "consolidation of production assets is directed to creation accurately built effective business of structure".

Sitronics-nano is producer of chips in topology 90 nanometers. It possesses the production line in Zelenograd opened in February, 2012 based on JSC Scientific Research Institute of Molecular Electronics and Plant Mikron in Zelenograd. Design capacity of the line of 3 thousand 200 mm of plates a month.

The chips made on this line are held for use in navigation systems GLONASS/GPS, in biometric passports, bank and social cards, SIM- cards, RFID- tags. The enterprise purchased licenses for technologies at ST Microelectronics company.

Shares in JV Sitronics-nano were distributed between Sitronics and Rusnano on 49.75%. Another 0.5% belong to the Zelenograd Ameks Ltd.

At the project cost of 16.5 billion rubles of 12.97 billion were entered to the authorized capital of the company, and a half of the amount was entered the equipment by Sitronics, and the second half was entered money of Rusnano. 3.5 billion more were entered by the credit of Rusnano and Bank of Moscow.

As it was announced at a project startup, its revenue in 2015 should make 12 billion rubles.

Exception of the plan for privatization

Rosimushchestvo excluded the producer of microchips of JSC NIIME i Mikron from the program of privatization of federal property till 2015, ITAR-TASS reported in September, 2013 the source close to shareholders of the company. According to him, in July, 2013 the meeting of Minpromtorg and Rosimushchestvo according to the results of which such decision in connection with plans for acquisition of additional stocks of the enterprise at the expense of the funds allocated for the federal target program "Development of Electronic Component Base and Radio Electronics" was made took place. The chairman of the board of directors of Micron Gennady Krasnikov confirmed to ITAR-TASS information on transfer of privatization till 2015. That the state is going to leave a shareholding structure of Micron, it was reported in February, 2013 - then the corresponding order of the government was issued. It is supposed that by the end of 2013 Rosimushchestvo will increase the share in the enterprise from 12.4% to 14%, tells a source of ITAR-TASS. According to it, the cost of Micron is about 17 billion rubles at revenue in 2012 in 9.86 billion rubles, i.e. the packet of Rosimushchestvo costs about 2.1 billion rubles.

2012

Start of the line of production of chips of 90 nanometers

The line of production of microchips with the topological level of 90 nanometers is started. Start of the new line will allow to increase the production capacity of the plant twice to 36 thousand plates with a diameter of 200 mm a year.

Release schedules of a sim card with the EDS

In 2012 together with FUO "UEK" the domestic chip for "the Universal Electronic Card" is developed.

On December 6, 2012 the chief designer and the head of Micron Gennady Krasnikov told that in 2013 the plant will start industrial release of sim cards with the EDS.

According to him, much attention is paid to the project on development of a sim card with the EDS. So in 2013 the company expected the first silicon chip which will be the cornerstone of distinctive features of a new product.

"Now all operators are interested in our development and count all business models. When this analytics is ended, it will be possible to tell about exact starts of production more specifically. Because for an opportunity to use complete functionality of a product, it is necessary that operators carried out a certain work with the infrastructure. In particular to provide secure channels at data transmission on rendering state services. I think that we selected a development vector correct", - Gennady Krasnikov told TAdviser. - This vector is directed to providing the accessibility to owners of mobile phones to public services by means of the portable devices".

According to Krasnikov's forecasts, Mikron during the first half of 2013 will hold testings of a new sim card and by the end of the year or to the beginning of 2014 will be able to bring a finished full-fledged product to the market. "Today we produce about 70 million sim cards a year. We predict that in the near future about a third (a little more than 20 million sim cards a year), will be made with the EDS function irrespective of at what stage there will be an upgrade of infrastructure of operators", - it continued. - But as soon as operators will work technology, we are waited by explosive consumption growth".

At the same time Krasnikov noted that for full use of state services by means of the mobile phone, it is necessary to make a sim card with an ID-application. "So far on our developments it is possible to tell that the similar sim card will be increased in sizes that reduces its competitiveness", - it continued. - But it is, so to speak, the next stage which study, requires also time. Now our task - to watch reaction of citizens to implementation of UEC, a sim card with the EDS for the analysis. If everything goes well, then we quickly enough will be able to bring to the market a sim card with the ID-application certified by all authorized bodies".

On a question of possible terms of start of a sim card with an ID-application, Gennady Krasnikov assumed that it can be implemented in 2014-2015. "The matter is that this question depends not only on us: there is a discussion of the new concept of UEC, ID document of the citizen of the Russian Federation. There is a dependence on many factors", - he argues. - But we if necessary can put on the market a sim card with an ID-application within a year".

STMicroelectronics sells the companies of the production technology of 90 nanometers

The devolution agreement on Mikron of the production technology of chips is signed with regulations of 90 nanometers from STMicroelectronics company.

Decision on additional share issue

For 2010 JSC NIIME i Mikron in goes to the structure of JSC Sitronics where is head enterprise of the Microelectronic Solutions business direction. Entered this business direction:

In "Sitronics Microelectronic Solutions" works about 3000 people, from them on Micron - 1600 people of 37% of employees have the higher education.

In September, 2010 it became known that shareholders of the Zelenograd JSC NIIME i Mikron approved an additional share issue (it is going to produce 5.436 million actions in addition to 601 rub which are available 10.858 million actions at the market price for an action) to the company for the total amount of 3.267 billion rubles. They will be distributed between shareholders in proportion to ownership shares if they express desire to acquire the issued shares. However money should be paid for additional actions not to all. The major shareholder — Sitronics can impecuniously make the contribution by offset of a debt of Micron to Sitronics. Other shareholders should lay out cash and if someone from them does not want it to make, then it will remain with former number of actions. In other words, shareholders, not concordants to give money to Micron, will reduce the share in the company.

Additional shares will be placed within a year from the moment of registration of the prospectus of the issue. According to the vice president of Sitronics Irina Lanina until the prospectus of the issue is registered, it is expected that placement will take place by the end of 2010.

According to the current shares in stocks of Micron its shareholders from the total amount of an additional issue of 3.267 billion rubles should pay:

  • Sitronics is about 2.5 billion rubles,
  • state ― about 300 million rubles,
  • other minority shareholders ― about 420 million rubles.

However, according to Lanina, the question of technical offset of a debt of the Mikron plant to JSC Sitronics in exchange for additional actions is considered. It is about the funds raised by Sitronics in 2007 as a result of the IPO and directed to creation in Zelenograd of production of chips with a topological size of 180 nanometers.

The size of a debt is not specified. According to documents of Micron, as of the end of the II quarter 2010 the debt of the enterprise to Sitronics for the granted loans and percent on them made about 8.4 billion rubles So only on partial offset of debts of Micron to Sitronics all amount which the last would have to pay for additional actions will leave. Therefore, the additional issue of Micron for Sitronics will be actually free.

Minority shareholders, because as Lanina reported, representatives of Sitronics and state voted for an additional issue can appear discordant. If all minority shareholders refuse to pay, then after issue of additional stocks of a share in Micron will be distributed so: Sitronics — 80.7%, the state ― 10.3%, minority shareholders ― 9.0%.

Plans of growth of deliveries to China

Mikron trades with China only through own representations in Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Taipei. In 2009 revenue of Micron from export of chips fell in absolute measures, Karina Abagyan, the head of marketing of Micron said. But in 2010 this indicator "will undoubtedly grow", she is sure.

In September, 2010 the Mikron plant began delivery to China of the RFID chips released on 180 nanometers of technology on 200-mm plates. Until the end of 2010 under the signed contracts with the Chinese producers of electronic cards and system integrators the company expects to deliver 10 million chips[11].

In cooperation with the countries of Southeast Asia for the Russian producer there is nothing new, the basis of its export to the region within 20 years is formed by analog circuits of power management. However Mikron delivers chips for radio-frequency tags for the first time.

According to in Micron, the company is capable to compete with Asian producers on price relation and qualities.

"Effective cost is provided with the design solutions directed to reduction of the area of the chip and a good exit suitable", - Karina Abagyan explained CNews.

Access cards – electronic keys for houses, offices, hotels will become the end products created based on chips of Micron in China. The company expects to advance the products among producers of cards at the expense of the existing customer base and business communications in the region. It is impossible to sell to China own ready-made products at Micron: because of customs and logistic costs local assembly becomes more profitable.

The cost of chips, deliverable at China, in Micron is not disclosed. "Judging by the description, means single-channel electrically - programmable memory of small volume which is around the world made on an old micron, but not submicron technology, and stands up around 6 cents for a crystal", - Alexey Tabolkin, the CEO believes Angstrem.

Tabolkin also assumes that interest of Chinese in the Russian crystals on plates can be attracted by desire to resell radio-frequency tags in foreign markets. "The main producers from the USA and Europe not really want to deliver the plates to China, - he says. - Chinese do RFID tags of crystals and sell them back to Europe and the USA, increasing thereby the competition in the market. It is clear, that it is not pleasant to the European and American producers at all".

1991: Gennady Krasnikov is the head of the enterprise

In 1991 Mikron was headed by G.Ya. Krasnikov. Despite recession of economic activity in the country, the enterprise continues to be engaged in developments and develops.

Installation of the clean room of "OZON-1" of class 10 on the basis of domestic component parts is finished.

The prototype of color 100 mm of the LCD display is developed.

The manufacturing techniques BIKMOP IS are developed.

The element base modern BIKMOP IS using the self-combined technology is created (it is protected by 7 patents of the Russian Federation).

During this period Mikron acquired the right of an independent exit to foreign markets.

Serial delivery of crystals of the IC for Samsung company is begun.

The 1980th

In 1980 the plant Micron makes a 100-million chip.

NIIME and the Mikron plant is awarded the order by the decree of Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR of 4/12/1983 the Labour Red Banner for successful task performance on creation and production of the Single system of a computer.

Deliveries of integrated microcircuits for providing the Mars-Venus program are performed. Production of CMOS of memory devices with an arbitrary access is begun. At the enterprise production on the basis of domestic "clean rooms" is created.

The first ICs with programmable logic arrays of series 556 and 1556 are released. The industrial release of a basic matrix crystal of BMK-I-300B (high-speed performance of 0.35 nanoseconds on a valve, 1500 valves on a crystal) as element base of domestic supercomputers is organized. The domestic supercombined technology (CST) of receiving bipolar transistors with a high integration scale and high-speed performance of 0.15 nanoseconds on a valve is developed. The first schemes of the PAL family and television ICs are mastered.

1971: Release of element base for key computers of the USSR

In 1971 all four sections of the Mikron plant over 60 thousand sq.m. are handed over under installation. Chips of series 155 are for the first time certified on the highest category of quality. "Quality label" is appropriated in 1972.

The industrial release of the logic digital ICs of series 100 and 500 developed at the enterprise with high-speed performance of 2 nanoseconds on a valve which provided with element base is organized:

  • superbig computer Elbrus-2;
  • the machines "Row" intended for the solution of strategic problems of the national economy, world ecology and defense;
  • the single system of a computer used in the national economy of the countries Comecon;
  • Computer Damask steel (special machines of defense appointment).

In 1978 the generic high-speed microprocessor collection of series 1802 intended for the defense equipment, in particular for the air defense complexes is developed.

1967: Start of the Mikron plant

On February 1, 1967 the order of the minister of electronic industry of the USSR at NIIME organizes the plant on production of integrated circuits of Mikron.

For the first time in the country are developed and created:

  • planar technology arsenide - gallium chips;
  • plastic IC package and molding composition;
  • crystals of the IC of the emitter and connected logic (ECL);
  • digital (transistor-transistor logic) and analog ICs of mass application.

By 1970 more than 3.5 million chips are made and delivered to the different industries.

1966: Production of 100 thousand chips

In 1966 in the register of the USSR the first IC on 2 bipolar transistors is registered. The development shop on release of chips is organized.

Production volume in 1966 was 100,000 chips.

1965: Construction of own building of NIIME

On January 25 K.A. Valiyev is appointed the director of NIIME. For the beginning of year in NIIME 183 persons worked. Most of employees was placed in the general hall of the Elion plant. On the areas of the Komponent plant the first line on release of the packageless planar bipolar n-p-n-transistor is organized and started. In the end of the year construction of own building of NIIME of 25 thousand sq.m. is finished.

1964: Foundation of NIIME

According to the Order of the State Committee of the USSR on the electronic equipment of 3/9/1964 No. 50 is organized the Research Institute of Molecular Electronics (RIME).

Clients

Mikron performs:

  • Deliveries of RFID of tickets for Moscow Metro since November, 2006.
  • Deliveries of transport tickets for land transport of Moscow by request of the Uniform social register since February, 2007.
  • Deliveries of forms of transport tickets for the Magnitogorsk transport since 2007.
