Moscow shipbuilding and ship-repair plant (MSSZ)

JSC Moscow Shipbuilding and Ship-repair Plant (MSSZ) – one of the shipbuilding plants, oldest in Russia. From the moment of foundation in 1936 over 1800 courts with a total dimensional length more than 52,000 meters were constructed here. The main products of the plant in Soviet period were the river and lake passenger motor ships which were under construction on the projects Moskvich, "OM", "Moscow", "Moskovsky".

Since 2001 the plant began to master the direction, absolutely new to the Russian shipbuilding, – construction of forwarding vessels and motor superyachts from 25 to 50 meters. Construction of 2 projects is now conducted: TM 26 (26th meter motor yacht) and TM 47 (47-meter ocean yacht).

In 2011 at the plant two passenger ships of new generation "Capital-1" and "Capital-2" with a passenger capacity of 120 people were constructed and handed over. Vessels of the Pilgrim project are intended for tourist and excursion transportations. Based on the same project the floating restaurant "Svetoch" with a passenger capacity of 88 people was constructed and handed over. In 2012 already 4 modified vessel of the Pilgrim project prepares for delivery. The motor ship is expected 141 passengers and will perform functions of a ferry to Syktyvkar. In July, 2012 the fifth body of the Pilgrim project, the gruzo-passazhirky vessel on 30 places will be put.

The plant is the division of JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation specializing in production of high-speed, representative and technically complex courts. In September, 2011 the plant began construction of a series from 6 high-speed multi-purpose boats MPB14 for seaports of Russia. In 2012 the Customer will be given all 6 boats. Along with 2011 construction of a series from 27 obstanovochny boats of project 3050 and 12 of obstanovochny boats of project 3050.1 for service of internal waterways is conducted.

The plant will begin construction of onboard boats for needs of navy with fall of 2012. Together with the design organizations of United Shipbuilding Corporation the plant offers customers numerous new products of the program. It is the buoy boat and the pilot vessel, the high-speed passenger ship, the fire-prevention vessel, the high-speed rescue boat of supply.
