OJSC Mosenergo is the largest of the regional generating companies of the Russian Federation and a technologically integral part of the Unified Energy System of Russia. The company is one of the largest heat producers in the world.

Mosenergo includes 15 power plants with an installed electric capacity of 11.9 thousand. MW and thermal capacity of 40.6 thousand MW (34.9 thousand Gcal/h). Mosenergo power plants supply about 70% of the electric energy consumed in the Moscow region and provide 66% of Moscow's thermal energy needs.

Technical development is one of the priorities of the company's activities. OJSC Mosenergo was among the first in Russia to begin large-scale construction and commissioning of generating capacities based on the steam-gas cycle technology, which allows to significantly increase efficiency and improve environmental production indicators.

2023

Revenue growth by 8.9% to RUB 247.15 billion

At the end of 2023, Mosenergo raised 247.15 billion rubles, which is 8.9% more than a year earlier. At the same time, the company's net profit decreased by 7%, to 19.26 billion rubles. Such data in accordance with Russian financial reporting standards (RAS) were published in early February 2024.

In 2023, the revenue of the Electricity and Capacity segment amounted to 144.56 billion rubles against 128.02 billion rubles a year earlier. In the direction of Teploenergia, an increase in revenues was registered from 96.5 billion to 100.11 billion rubles. In the category of "other" revenue, the indicator remained almost unchanged - 2.48 billion rubles.

Profit in the Electricity and Capacity segment in 2023 turned out to be equal to 21.36 billion rubles, an increase of 20.67 billion rubles relative to the profit a year ago. In the category "Heat Energy," profit, on the contrary, decreased - from 3.86 billion to 2.66 billion rubles. According to the results of 2023, a loss of 41 million rubles was registered in the "other" category against a loss of 213.7 million rubles a year earlier.

Mosenergo increased electricity production in 2023

Mosenergo's revenue for the reporting period increased by 9%, to 167.87 billion rubles. EBITDA decreased by 16.9%, to 22.87 billion rubles. At the same time, the company's operating loss amounted to 1.17 billion rubles against 10.5 billion rubles of profit from operating activities a year earlier, and profit before tax fell 6.5 times, to 2.12 billion rubles.[1]

Mosenergo's revenue in 2022 amounted to 226.96 billion rubles, which is 1% more than a year earlier. The company's net profit during this time increased by 16.9% and reached 20.7 billion rubles. Such data were released in April 2023.

Mosenergo raised 226.96 billion rubles for the year

Mosenergo in 2022 increased electricity generation by 0.8% - to 62.51 billion kWh from 62.01 billion kWh in 2021. The supply of thermal energy from the collectors of thermal power plants, district and quarterly thermal stations "Mosenergo" amounted to 85.41 million Gcal, which is 4.2% lower than the same indicator in 2021 (89.18 million Gcal). The main impact on the dynamics of this indicator was a significant decrease in heat output in February 2022 due to the abnormally high outside air temperature (the average monthly temperature in February 2022 was - 0.9 ° C against - 10.5 ° C in February 2021). The implementation of the joint program of PJSC MUEC and PJSC Mosenergo to switch loads between heat sources in 2022 led to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in Moscow by more than 1.2 million tons, nitrogen oxides - by more than 800 tons. The volume of switching amounted to 6.4 million Gcal.

2022: Mosenergo stops listing abroad

By the beginning of May 2022, the main shareholder of Mosenergo with a 53.85% stake is Gazprom Energoholding LLC. Another 26.45% of the shares belong to the Moscow City Property Department.

On April 16, 2022, a new law was officially published in Russia, which provides for a ban ten days after the publication of the appeal of depositary receipts of Russian eminents on foreign sites. It entered into force on April 27, 2022. Companies were given five working days to terminate agreements on the placement of depositary receipts and the same period to submit supporting documents to the Bank of Russia. 2017: Profits up 84.6%
