2020: Microsoft purchased Orions Systems

In July, 2020 it is officially announced sale of Orions Systems of Microsoft company. Thanks to this transaction which cost its participants did not begin to reveal Microsoft will be able to improve the Dynamics 365 Connected Store system helping shops and other companies it is better to understand a customer behavior.

Dynamics 365 Connected Store processes the data obtained by means of computer vision and IoT-sensors. Effective obtaining such data can be the difficult process requiring considerable settings. Developments of Orions Systems solve this problem.

Microsoft purchased Orions Systems

Orions Systems offers opportunities of machine learning which can be adapted to one device or large large-scale cloud network, the senior vice president for Dynamics 365 Muhammad Alam explained in the blog of Microsoft. According to him, Orions Systems, being the expert in the smart systems of visualization, can improve products of Microsoft for the clients aiming to optimize the trade operations through computer vision.

Purchase of Orions Systems will open access to new technologies which will allow such solutions as Dynamics 365 Connected Store and Microsoft Power Platform, to offer retailers and other companies a method of creation and training of own AI-models for setup and optimization of training in the physical space. New tools which are introduced by the company will provide accomplishment of the scenarios which are beyond what is offered from a box today, and they can adapt to really unique measurements and requirements of their physical space — he said.[1]
