PET-Technologies was established in 2011 on a parity basis by OJSC, RUSNANO Industrial, Commercial and Consulting Limited Liability Company and Medilux CJSC to RosMedTechnologies implement a project to create modern diagnostic centers that allow diagnostics by the combined method of positron emission tomography computed tomography and (CT PET/centers) in the central federal district and the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The federal network of Nuclear Medicine Centers will give the country's population access to advanced technologies for high-quality diagnosis and treatment of cancer. PET-Technologies produces radiopharmaceuticals (FPM) necessary for PET/CT diagnostics at its production facilities in Ufa and Yelets (Lipetsk region), which are equipped with a cyclotron complex, a laboratory for the synthesis of radiopharmaceuticals, equipment for dosing and packaging of FPM, as well as quality control devices.

The regional divisions of the PET-Technologies network provide PET/CT diagnostics services in the areas of specialist doctors free of charge for patients at the expense of compulsory health insurance (compulsory medical insurance), as well as on a paid basis.

History

2024: Centers shut down due to lack of money

In all cases, the reason is that the tariff established by the Territorial Compulsory Health Insurance Fund for PET/CT services in 2024 does not cover the costs of performing this study. 2022

MedInvestGroup closes nuclear medicine center in Orel

On December 19, 2022, the governor of the Oryol region, Andrei Klychkov, announced the closure of the PET-Technology nuclear medicine center in Orel. The medical institution, opened by the MedInvestGroup Group at the Oryol Oncological Dispensary, has been operating since 2015

According to Klychkov, MedInvestGroup notified the regional authorities that it did not see the economic feasibility of continuing the work of the center. The governor promised that patients in need of PET/CT diagnostics will be delivered to Bryansk by the end of 2022, and then to Moscow.

In mid-December 2022, it also became known that MedInvestGroup would not build a nuclear medicine center in Skolkovo. Instead, a clinic with an operating unit will appear here, said Rafik Zagrutdinov, head of the Moscow Construction Department. The construction of the nuclear medicine center began in 2021, the commissioning of the facility was scheduled for the end of 2023, but in May 2022, MedInvestGroup froze the project due to possible problems with the supply of imported equipment.

On the basis of the center, the initiators planned to locate two cyclotron-radiochemical complexes, in which they intended to launch the production of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostics and drugs for radionuclide therapy. Also, the center was going to install two PET/CT scanners and two radiation therapy devices, open a research laboratory and install 22 "hot" beds for radionuclide therapy.

2020

Launch of two PET/CT centers in Moscow

At the end of 2020, PET-Technologies (part of the MedInvestGroup Group of Companies) opened two more nuclear medicine centers in Moscow. They are located on Orshanskaya and Profsoyuznaya streets. More than 450 million rubles were invested in these projects .

Opening of two PET-Technologies centers in Perm

In early September 2020, MedInvestGroup opened two PET-Technologies centers in Perm, investing more than 700 million rubles in them. The PET/CT diagnostic center, located on the territory of the Perm City Clinical Hospital named after M.A. Tverye, as well as the center of radiation therapy on the basis of the Perm Regional Oncological Dispensary, began work.

MedInvestGroup invests 37 billion rubles in a network of medical centers

In early July 2020, the MedInvestGroup (MIG) group of companies announced the investment of 37 billion rubles in its own federal project called "100 linear accelerators." It involves the launch of two radiation therapy centers in Yekaterinburg and Perm "PET-Technologies," the organization of a network of centers with linear accelerators in the regions and the creation of a clinical educational center.

MedInvestGroup, the company will rent specialized premises (canyons) for the installation of linear accelerators. At the same time, it is planned to provide services at the expense of compulsory medical insurance.

To train doctors in the fall of 2020, it is planned to open a clinical educational center, which will train specialists not only for PET-Technology centers. 15 training stations will be installed in the center. MedInvestGroup invests 37 billion rubles in a network of medical centers

MedInvestGroup President Sergei Notov said that, according to calculations, the installation of one linear accelerator and associated costs amount to 350-400 million rubles. He believes that the authorities of the regions, for whose budgets these costs are significant, can transfer to the company the tasks of re-equipment of medical institutions.

Nuclear Medicine Center opened in Yekaterinburg

In June 2016, the opening ceremony of the Center for Positron Emission Tomography of the portfolio company RUSNANO PET-Technologies took place in Yekaterinburg. Now, at the expense of the Territorial Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund, up to 6 thousand patients can be examined annually. PET-Technologies will develop and from September 2016 will begin to introduce a Program for advanced training of doctors in the specialization "Radiology" with the possibility of an internship at the Center for Nuclear Medicine in Yekaterinburg.

Cancer is one of the two main causes of mortality in Russia. Currently, the most modern and accurate way to diagnose cancer is PET/CT scanning. This technology makes it possible to correctly determine the tactics of treating diseases at the earliest stages of their development, control its effectiveness and eliminate unnecessary and often expensive treatments.

Nuclear Medicine Center opened in Moscow

The Center for Nuclear Medicine was created in early 2016 on the basis of the Medical and Rehabilitation Center of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (LRC) on Ivankovskoye Shosse. The center is equipped with a modern PET/CT scanner and is designed to conduct 5,000 studies per year. The reception of patients is organized in cooperation with specialists of the LRC in the field of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery. The first 6 people have already been examined.

RUSNANO is implementing a project of a federal network of PET centers, which is designed to provide access to the best modern diagnostics of cancer for residents of several regions of Russia. Moscow is already the seventh city in the country where PET-Technologies has opened the Center for Nuclear Medicine.

The radiopharmaceuticals necessary for PET/CT scanning are delivered through network facilities, including Moscow, from Yelets, where their mass production was launched last year. Diagnostic centers "PET-Technologies" are located in the cities: Ufa, Lipetsk, Tambov, Kursk, Oryol, Yekaterinburg. The volumes of FPM production in Yelets (up to 500 doses per day) are synchronized with the schedule of patient admission in each of the PET centers of the Central Federal District and Moscow, which ensures uninterrupted delivery in the necessary time.

By the end of 2015, more than 10,000 people had already been surveyed on the federal network.

At the same time, the procedure is absolutely painless, does not carry side negative effects and takes no more than 2-3 hours.

As part of the implementation of the state program for the provision of medical care to the population in the compulsory health insurance system, PET-Technologies conducts PET/CT diagnostics free of charge. Also, the survey can be carried out on a paid basis, while its cost, taking into account the exchange rate, is three to four times lower than similar services abroad.

2015

The first in the Federal Network of Modern Medical Centers created within the framework of public-private partnership was the Center for Nuclear Medicine in Ufa. He provides a set of services for the diagnosis of cancer using PET/CT and the treatment of tumors on the latest robotic radiotherapy system CyberKnife. The accuracy, effectiveness and safety of CyberKnife allows you to treat brain tumors that surgery and conventional radiation therapy cannot cope with.
