Penalties of UA

2020: Start of service

In January, 2020 in Ukraine the service which pays drivers for safe driving is started. It is about the Penalties of UA application which was developed with the assistance of the Ukrainian Ministry  of infrastructure.

Service keeps track of quality of driving (controls observance of speed, sharp starts and braking and also use of the mobile phone driving) and pays a cashback for driving by rules. The cashback is calculated from the cost of the policy of the CMTPL. 

In Ukraine the service which pays drivers for safe driving is started

The driver receives an award for responsible behavior — to 18% of compensation of the amount of insurance. The discount forms repeatedly and constantly changes depending on style of driving. The cashback is transfered to the bank card once upon purchase of the insurance policy.

After the first 10 trips the application  begins to show result of driving, on algorithms discount interest is accrued.[1]

"Penalties of UA" is the only application in Ukraine in which it is possible to purchase the electronic policy of the CMTPL, using for this purpose only the state number of your car. You do not need to go to office and to fill out papers. The state number of your car and a system is enough to enter will quickly define all data necessary for a registration and purchase of an insurance of the autocitizen for your car — it is also told in the description to the program.

For a month of operation of application it was downloaded by more than 10 thousand times. By February 12, 2020 the program is available only to IOS-DEVICES. Developers promise fast start of the version for Android.

It should be noted that in Ukraine social and economic losses because of the road accidents and death are nearly 70 billion hryvnias a year or about 2% of the gross domestic product (GDP). In 2020 the government of the country intends to spend for improvement of security on roads 3.2 billion UAH.
