2017

Revenue growth 75 times in 3 years

At the end of 2017, RT-Inform (Competence Center for IT and IB of Rostec State Corporation) announced a stable increase in revenue since 2014. So, during his stay at the head of the company, Kamil Gazizov, who was appointed to the post of general director of RT-Inform in May 2014, it increased from 40 million to 3 billion rubles.

In 2014, the company made a strategic reorientation, as a result of which RT-Inform was tasked with developing the service direction, creating competence centers for information security, testing and certification of IT products. The implementation of the strategy led to the fact that at the end of 2014 revenue amounted to 600 million rubles, and at the end of 2015 this figure reached 1.9 billion rubles. Such results were achieved due to an increase in the share of coverage of the internal corporate market, including for trade and procurement activities, which saved up to 15% of the IT budgets of internal corporate customers, since RT-Inform was able to consolidate IT needs and receive significant price preferences due to "economies of scale," the company explained.

According to the results of work in 2016, RT-Inform's revenue amounted to 2.5 billion rubles. As of the end of 2017, more than 3 billion rubles were contracted. Thus, during the work of Kamil Gazizov as general director of RT-Inform, the company's revenue grew 75 times.

RT-Inform - five years

The company was established on the basis of the Decision of Rostec State Corporation of June 21, 2012. Starting from the staff of 20 people, as of June 2017, the company has about 150 specialists who provide informatization to more than 700 Rostec enterprises throughout Russia.

In its activities, RT-INFORM is aimed at the further development of informatization processes in Rostec. In the near future, the introduction of RT-Catalogue, aimed at managing small-scale purchases. The development of informatization programs for holding companies, the development of the direction of testing and technical expertise of telecommunications equipment, computer equipment and software in order to ensure technical regulation continues. Work is under way on the development of centralized information systems.

IT Procurement Savings Plans for Rostec

In May 2017, during the conference "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia," RT-INFORM General Director Kamil Gazizov spoke about savings on centralized purchases of software and computer equipment, and the transition to a service model for servicing enterprises.

According to Kamil Gazizov, in 2016, savings on IT products due to consolidated deliveries in the interests of Rostec enterprises and the typification of enterprise information architecture amounted to 7%. In 2017-2025, it is possible to obtain savings of up to 40% (depending on the type of purchase) by standardizing the nomenclature, combining the same type of purchases, consolidating expertise and, as a result, receiving special conditions from suppliers for planned volumes. Until 2025, thanks to the work of RT-INFORM, the accumulated savings from purchases in absolute terms could amount to 22 billion rubles.

The head of RT-INFORM emphasized that using the positive experience of Rostec's central office, the company expects to make a gradual transition to a service model for enterprises of the State Corporation. Recall that in 2015 the transition to the service model was carried out by the central apparatus of Rostec as part of the Service 360 project. According to the calculations of RT-INFORM experts, the savings amounted to 167 million rubles.

2016

35% revenue growth

On April 6, 2017, RT-Inform announced some results of work for the previous year. The company's revenue jumped 35%, which was facilitated by the exit of Rostec's subsidiary outside the state corporation's business.

In 2016, RT-Inform raised more than 2.5 billion rubles against 1.9 billion rubles a year earlier. Revenues from contracts not related to Rostec exceeded 1 billion rubles, which allowed the company to strengthen in the market of system integrators. RT-Inform, in particular, collaborates with Rostelecom, Russian Post, United Aircraft Corporation and Tupolev PJSC.

For Rostec, RT-Inform completed more than 20 projects for the implementation of IT systems in 2016. In order to implement the state import substitution program, a number of agreements were concluded on the transfer to import-substituting information technologies with leading enterprises of the holding. Projects were implemented to develop a system of appeals from employees of the state corporation on corruption facts "Hotline" and the project "Service 360."

In 2016, Rostec gave RT-Inform the powers of the Corporate Center for the Detection, Prevention and Elimination of the Consequences of Computer Attacks. The center directly interacts with structures, FSB solving issues in the field of providing information security (IS) enterprises of the state corporation and at the same time optimizing the costs of cyber protection due to economies of scale when centralizing the service.

Establishing a Cyber Attack Detection Center

At the end of 2016, RT-Inform at Rostec created the Corporate Center for the Detection, Prevention and Elimination of the Consequences of Computer Attacks (CCOPL), which collects and analyzes data on the external perimeter of corporation organizations, identifies malicious activity on the external border of the network using data from cyber intelligence partners, eliminates the consequences of cyber attacks and provides enterprises with expert assistance in a subsequent investigation.

The center directly interacts with the FSB structures and is an additional layer of protection for Rostec Group of Companies.

2015

7.7 times revenue growth

In April 2016, RT-Inform reported an improvement in financial performance: significant - up to about 2 billion rubles. - revenue growth and reaching a positive net profit indicator. According to the Kontur.Focus database, in 2014 the company's revenue amounted to 258.7 million rubles. The net loss for the same period was about 24 million rubles. The minus "RT-Inform" went both in 2013 and in 2012. The profit indicator for 2015 in RT-Inform was not reported. It was not reflected in the "Contour. Focus" at the time of publication of the article.

A significant increase in turnover in RT-Inform is explained by participation in a number of large projects. So, for example, in 2015, RT-Inform was chosen as the executor of the 360 Service project to transfer the work of the entire IT infrastructure of Rostec's central apparatus and services based on it to a qualitatively new level.

RT-Inform increased revenue due to large Rostec projects

This project in RT-Inform is called one of the notable IT initiatives in the Russian public sector. According to the results of its implementation, a single communication space was created in which voice, text and video transmission between users was implemented, safe work with information was provided not only in Rostec's head office, but also remotely - from any point that has access to the Internet, using tablets, smartphones and other mobile devices, according to RT-Inform.

Among the new services are guest Wi-Fi, the organization of copy centers and common print centers, the equipment of new meeting rooms with modern multimedia equipment, the updating of applications for office work, and the service of combined communications. Within the framework of the Service 360 project, a modern information security system has been created that meets the requirements for preventing all current threats.

The positive experience gained from the results of the Service 360 project can be replicated to holding companies of the electronic cluster of the state corporation as the best corporate practice of organizing IT services on the principle of outsourcing, I note in RT-Inform.

In addition to a comprehensive project to support the development of Rostec IT services, in 2015 RT-Inform conducted an IT audit of state corporation holdings, which laid the foundation for further work, continued the process of automating production and administrative activities at Rostec enterprises. According to RT-Inform, as of April 2016, the company is implementing more than 10 projects and over 30 are under development.

In 2015, RT-Inform also took part in the consolidated work of the state corporation in the field of import substitution, designed to ensure the proper degree of information security and reduce unreasonable expenses. First of all, we are talking about replacing the basic operating system OS Microsoft Windows with, Linux developing and promoting network solutions based on domestic telecommunications equipment to the market. Since 2016, domestic telecommunications solutions are planned to be supplied to foreign and domestic markets. The expansion of the competencies and portfolio of RT-Inform projects contributed to the growth of the company's staff: in 2015, it increased by 70%.

Board of Directors

In the summer of 2015, the executive director of Rostec, who is responsible for strategy, information and communication, became the chairman of the board of directors, and Sergey Kulikov became the director for organizational development. The council included:

Import Substitution Plans

In March 2016, RT-Inform CEO Kamil Gazizov in an interview with TAdviser said that his company is implementing a number of import substitution projects designed to ensure an adequate degree of information security and reduce unreasonable expenses of Rostec State Corporation. First of all, we are talking about replacing Microsoft Windows products with domestic products, including the domestic protected operating system Astra Linux. The implementation of the pilot project to replace Microsoft software began with the holding "Helicopters of Russia." As of the beginning of 2016, the company planned to deploy a stand modeling the infrastructure of enterprises based on domestic and freely distributed software, which will be available to other holdings of the state corporation.

Another, no less significant project, is associated with the introduction of domestic telecommunications equipment and computer technology, Gazizov said. Within Rostec, several companies are developing at once, which can be a high-quality replacement for foreign equipment. In 2016, RT-Inform expects to begin the industrial supply of this equipment to foreign and domestic markets.

2014

IT Procurement Optimization

In June 2014[1]Rostec planned to save up to 30% of its IT budget by combining purchases of equipment and software: previously, enterprises included in its structure purchased everything separately, but now they will use RT-inform services. According to the general director of RT-inform Kamil Gazizov, RT-information is faced with the task of increasing the efficiency of investments of the state corporation.

In 2014-2015 Rostec allocated about 50 billion rubles for the purchase of IT equipment and software, a representative of the state corporation said.

At the same time, RT-inform itself will not engage in integration, but will take on only purchases, two sources close to Rostec said. Rostec sees RT-inform as a corporate distributor of IT solutions, they explained. The state corporation also plans to consolidate the budget and thereby increase the transparency of transactions with suppliers.

2012: Creating

In the summer of 2012, Rostec (until July 2013 - Rostekhnologii) created years of internal integrator for corporate IT projects - RT-Inform. Its creation became a stage in the program of reforming the information and communication infrastructure of the state corporation.

"A single hierarchical vertical for managing ICT services is being formed at Rostekhnologii Corporation," said Alexey Matsnev, head of the Rostekhnology IT department, to CNews.

The vertical, according to him, will rely, on the one hand, on the existing IT divisions of the corporation (in particular, IT management) and on the IT divisions of holding structures and enterprises, and on the other, on the newly created integrator RT-Inform.

Rostechnology enterprises are planned to build a single management vertical, within the framework of which a single technical policy will be created and implemented, and IT budgets will be managed.
