2023: Agricultural machinery production growth by 40% to 7.5 thousand units

In 2023, Rostselmash produced 7.5 thousand units of agricultural machinery, which is more than 40% higher than the volume of output a year ago. Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region Igor Sorokin cited such data on February 7, 2024.

According to him, the volume of shipment of finished products from Rostselmash in 2023 also increased by 40%. Sorokin also cited data according to which in 2023 the group increased the export of equipment to friendly countries by almost 1.3 times. This rise occurred against the background of changes in logistics routes and a decrease in the number of countries of Rostselmash's presence, added the deputy head of the Rostov region.

Rostselmash produced 7.5 thousand units of agricultural equipment

According to Interfax, by the end of 2023, the Rostselmash product line consisted of more than 150 models and modifications of equipment for the agro-industrial complex, as well as road construction. Among them are grain and forage harvesters, tractors, sprayers, forage harvesting, grain processing and other equipment. The company has designed and is testing the first models of road construction equipment - telescopic and front loaders.

Two more models - excavators-loaders and tracked excavators - are in development by February 2024. In addition, by the end of 2027, the company intends to develop more than 80 new models of modification of equipment, thereby increasing the number of its developments by 1.5 times.

As the co-owner of Rostselmash Konstantin Babkin told TASS, it was possible to increase production volumes in 2023 by satisfying the demand "postponed" by the end of 2022.

Launch of a plant for the production of transmissions for 10 billion rubles

In February 2024, Rostselmash launched a transmission plant, in which 10 billion rubles were invested, of which 4.7 billion rubles will be used to create the production of shafts and gears. According to the press service of the company, a loan from the Industrial Development Fund (FRP) in the amount of 5 billion rubles was attracted to implement the project.

The new enterprise occupies industrial sites of 70 thousand square meters. m. More than 100 units of technological, instrumentation and laboratory equipment are installed on them, the delivery of about 20 more units and the purchase of an additional more than 120 units of equipment is expected. At the same time, the planned degree of automation of production processes will be 75%. The capacities of the first stage make it possible to produce components in an amount sufficient to produce about 3.7 thousand tractors of all series.

Rostselmash

In 2026, it is planned to launch the second stage of the project, within the framework of which the production of automatic transmissions (AKP) for tractors of the 2000 and 3000 series will be launched. The assembly of automatic transmission and bridges for the new 1000-series tractor and road construction equipment will also begin.

By February 2024, the enterprise employs 380 people, the planned number of 2024 is 513 employees, including 265 workers. Taking into account the development program, the team engaged in the production of bridges and transmissions for all types of equipment will amount to 1,500 people.

Investing 1 billion rubles in the creation of a landfill for testing equipment

Rostselmash invested 1 billion rubles in the creation of a landfill for testing agricultural machines and road construction equipment. The company announced this on December 18, 2023.

It follows from the press release that there will be two segments on the territory of the new test site: test tracks and a section for functional tests of the DST. In total, there will be three ring tracks at the training ground, which will allow a large number of cars to be tested at the same time. The tracks will be automated and will be able to work unmanned.

Rostselmash invested 1 billion rubles in the creation of a landfill for testing agricultural machines

By December 18, 2023, Taganrog is pouring the concrete roadbed of future tracks 400 m x 160 m. They will carry out functional tests of the main and auxiliary braking systems, vibration tests, SKRP, and so on. Slides with descents with various slopes will be built at the landfill. For resource tests, three ring tracks with several options for interchangeable obstacles will be built.

As noted by the general director of Rostselmash Valery Maltsev (the press service of the company cites his words on December 18, 2023), the production of dozens of new models of equipment will be launched in the coming years. The test site for them will meet modern world requirements and the general corporate policy for the development of the experimental base. It will also include a control and measuring station with many stands for checking both individual components and components of self-propelled machines, and equipment as a whole.

It is noted that the landfill will be the first Russia To Europe in and in such a multifunctional object. It will be possible to test tractors, combines, telescopic and front loaders, excavators-loaders, tracked excavators and other road construction machines.[3]

Receipt of 5 billion rubles from the FRP for the production of tractor transmission components

Rostselmash received 5 billion rubles from the Industrial Development Fund (FRP) for the production of transmission components for tractors. The company announced this on April 5, 2023.

The funds will go to the manufacture of bridges and gearboxes. Production will be established at the transmission plant under construction at the production facilities of Rostselmash. FRP provides loans at 1% and 3% per annum for up to 10 years in the amount of 5 million to 5 billion rubles.

Rostselmash received 5 billion rubles from FRP for the production of tractor transmission components

The company believes that the allocation of a preferential loan of 5 million rubles for components of tractor technology is a logical continuation of cooperation with the FRP in the field of tractor construction. To do this, a plant is being organized at which it is planned to produce automatic and mechanical transmissions, bridges and gearboxes for tractors, combines and road construction equipment.

By April 2023, Rostselmash is implementing a large-scale investment program, including the creation of three new industries: a new tractor production and a transmission plant in Rostov-on-Don, as well as the production of agricultural and communal equipment in Taganrog.[4]

2022: Purchase of Taganrog Automobile Plant

In July 2022, it became known about the sale of the Taganrog Automobile Plant to Rostselmash. The latter also concluded an agreement with the government of the Rostov region on the construction of an enterprise for the production of agricultural and communal equipment on the premises of the former automobile plant with an investment of 1.5 billion rubles.
