ServiceMax — software developer, extended on cloud model. The company offers systems on work with clients and maintenance on places. By means of such solutions it is possible to make service and repairs of the equipment at the enterprises of the customer, to create new works orders and to manage the diagram of carrying out repair of equipment. By November, 2016 ServiceMax attracted in total more than $200 million investments.

2018: Silver Lake buys ServiceMax

In December, 2018 it was announced sale of a 90 percent share of ServiceMax to Silver Lake fund for the price which does not reveal.

2016: General Electric buys ServiceMax for $915 million

On November 14, 2016 General Electric announced purchase of ServiceMax for $915 million. Thanks to this acquisition the American electrotechnical concern expects to expand digital business and services of maintenance of the equipment.

It is going to close the transaction by January, 2017. After accomplishment of all formalities concerning ServiceMax sale, this company will be integrated with software division of the buyer — GE Digital.

General Electric buys cloud company ServiceMax for development of service business
