Socionext, Inc is created on March 1, 2015. Main direction: creation, development and sale of integrated microcircuits and solutions / services on their platform.

History

Socionext Inc., is created by consolidation of LSI divisions of Panasonic and Fujitsu Semiconductor Limited at a financial support of Development bank of Japan.

The start capital of the company makes 30.2 billion Japanese yens.

Socionext Inc creation. turned out to be consequence of the agreement between Fujitsu, Panasonic and Development bank of Japan signed on July 31, 2014. The new enterprise will focus on design, development and sale of LSI. At the same time, Socionext will refuse own production, having transferred him specialized [1].

Fujitsu and Panasonic are sure: a team of managers under the leadership of the CEO Yasuo Nishiguchi and the chief executive Oman Inoue will provide competitiveness of Socionext in the world market.

The new enterprise integrates managerial resources, including technological capabilities, intellectual property and customer bases of Fujitsu Group and Panasonic Group in the field of processing and transfer of images and video and also technologies of high-speed optical networks.

Socionext will work irrespective of parent companies, however Fujitsu and Panasonic will reserve the status of her partners.

The development bank of Japan involves possibilities of "Fund of increase in industrial competitiveness of Japan" for support of activities of Socionext for creation of revolutionary devices on the basis of system LSI and to strengthening of positions of the company in the market.
