2020: Start of drones for delivery of drugs

At the end of March, 2020 the Melbourne company Swoop Aero organized delivery of medicines to inaccessible areas using drones which can be controlled from an every spot on the globe.

The Swoop Aero company organizes delivery of medicines by drones which are controlled from an every spot on the globe

All Swoop Aero UAVs are manufactured of a combination of carbon fiber with 3D - printed components, work at solar energy and use corporate technology of the company.

Swoop Aero works in the Republic of Malawi in partnership with the Global network of medical services of USAID, UK Aid and UNICEF, delivering to the remote villages medicines, including the vaccines against malaria and tuberculosis, penicillin, antimalarial and anti-inflammatory medicines and also sets for testing for HIV/AIDS. On the way back drones often take away blood samples for the analysis on tuberculosis and other researches. Similar services were also rendered in the Dominican Republic of Congo (DRC) and Mozambique.

Peck hopes that he drones of the company will be used and for fight against COVID-19 pandemic soon.

We will be able freely to move between different villages and regions and to deliver sets for testing of COVID-19 without additional risk of infection, - he noted.

Besides, Peck intends to use drones of the company for delivery of medicines to the remote regions of Indonesia and Australia.[1]
