Start date of construction of the center is designated

Construction of the nuclear center for inspection and treatment of oncological patients on Russky Island will begin in the summer 2019. It was said by the Governor of Primorye Oleg Kozhemyako during a working trip on December 28, 2018 to Moscow where he met the management of Rosatom state corporation, Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and state corporation of development ВЭБ.РФ. The project progress on creation of the Center of nuclear medicine on Russky Island was considered on April 16, 2018 in Vladivostok at a meeting under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia — the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev and with the assistance of the acting the governor of Primorye Andrey Tarasenko. According to the head of Primorye, opening of the center can take place in September, 2018.

In general there is a problem of creation in the Far East and in Primorye in particular the cluster connected with development and use of high technologies. And the medical direction, the direction connected with nuclear subject can is considered as one of basic on this work. Because here and the Russian Federation has an experience — the Plenipotentiary Representative Yury Trutnev emphasized.

As participants of the meeting noted, the investor who in November, 2017 offered edge cooperation in project implementation on attractive conditions was found. It is the Schwabe company from the structure of Rostec state corporation specializing in production of optical-electronic, laser and medical equipment.

It is supposed to execute the project in two stages, Andrey Tarasenko reported. The first provides equipment of the DVFU medical center by additional modular PET / KT-skanerami and a modular cyclotron. In turn, at the second stage construction of the modern center of proton therapy under the auspices of DVFU with annual capacity is planned more than one thousand patients. This project will become pilot within construction of network of the similar centers in the territory of the Russian Federation with assistance of the federal universities.

According to information Schwab, the equipment for equipment of PET / KT-centra already purchased, project works on placement of the center of nuclear medicine on the platform taking into account requirements of radiation safety also come to an end.

Construction of the centers of nuclear and proton medicine in Primorye based on Far Eastern Federal University is conducted within the investment project. The relevant agreement was signed on February 26, 2018 by the acting the Governor of Primorsky Krai Andrey Tarasenko, the CEO Schwab Aleksem Patrikeevym and the rector of DVFU Nikita Anisimov.

Participation of GE Healthcare in the project of construction of the center

Nina Kandelaki, the president and the chief executive officer of General Electric Healthcare company in Russia and the CIS, in December, 2017 within the meeting with Andrey Tarasenko, the acting as the governor of Primorsky Krai, said that GE Healthcare would like to participate in the project on construction of the center of nuclear medicine on Russky Island. In return, Tarasenko expressed interest in such cooperation.

The parties discussed supply capacity in Primorye of the equipment for equipment of future center of nuclear medicine and also the organization of training of specialists for work on modern medical equipment. Read more here.

Construction

In September, 2017 it became known of plans of Rosatom to construct the center of nuclear medicine in Vladivostok. Expected investments in the project will make 2.5 billion rubles.

On the platform of the third East economic forum in Vladivostok the agreement on creation on Russky Island of the center of nuclear medicine was signed by the vice governor of Primorsky Krai  Pavel Serebryakov  and the CEO Atommedtekhnolodzhi-Far East (AMT-DV, affiliated enterprise of Rosatom)  Anna Bondarenko.

Under the terms of the agreement, Rosatom on behalf of Rusatom Healthcare management company will fully finance construction of the center of nuclear medicine for 2.5 billion rubles. It is planned that an object will be brought into operation in 2020.

AMT-DV will equip the center with the specialized modern equipment and training of personnel. Besides, after start of an object the company will manage its work and to render medical services in the volumes approved with administration of Primorsky Krai throughout all validity period of the concessionary agreement.

In the center of nuclear medicine there will be departments of radio nuclide diagnostics for carrying out researches by modern methods — the combined method of a positron and issue and computer tomography and method of a one-photon issue and computer tomography and also the department of radio nuclide therapy using radiopharmaceuticals.

Rosatom will construct the center of nuclear medicine in the Far East for 2.5 billion rubles

It is planned that future center will provide the needs for diagnostics and treatment of oncological diseases in the Far East and also will be able to render services to patients from the nearby countries.

The main part of medical services will be rendered to residents of Primorsky Krai within the program of the state guarantees of free rendering medical care to citizens at the expense of a fund of the compulsory health insurance (CHI).[1]
