TomTec offers applications for complex and independent diagnostics and analytics in cardiology, a radiology, obstetrics and gynecology. According to data of the company for 2017, more than 20 thousand doctors and 600 health facilities use its software worldwide.

2017: Philips redeems the company

On July 18, 2017 Royal Philips, parent company Philips Healthcare, announced the transaction on acquisition of the German company TomTec Imaging Systems, leading software supplier for data analysis of diagnostic medical imaging, especially ultrasonography.

Philips calculates that merger of TomTec founded in 1990 and having the headquarters in Myunkhin and departments in the USA, Europe and Asia will help to strengthen positions of the company in the field of an echocardiography and will promote further expansion of activity of vendor in such clinical areas as obstetrics and gynecology.

Upon completion of the transaction, closed on June 18, 2017, business of TomTec and more than 100 of her employees were a part of division of Philips Ultrasound Business Group, Philips specifies.[1]

"We aim to provide the solutions for ultrasonography combining excellent image quality with the advanced analytics and providing efficiency and reproducibility at simultaneous cost reduction from our clients. With purchase TomTec Philips purchases strong team and new, strategically important assets that will promote further expansion of our portfolio in the field of an echocardiography, obstetrics and gynecology" — Vitor Rocha heading division of Ultrasound Business Group in Philips commented on the conclusion of the transaction.

Financial conditions of absorption are not disclosed. Since the beginning of 2017 calendar year it already the seventh acquisition of the Dutch vendor, notes the Nasdaq edition.[2]
