2017: The share of "Yandex" in the market of search in Runet showed record falling

The share of the Russian users using the search system "Yandex" is promptly reduced. Experts of Morgan Stanley note that domination of Google on mobile devices promotes more and more rapid decrease in a share of "Yandex" in the market of search in Russia. Data demonstrate that 83% of respondents at the time of the poll used Google (+5 items in a year) and 73% — "Yandex" (-5 items)[3].

In the report it is also said that "Yandex" hands over also the traditionally strong positions among users of desktop computers. According to poll, among PC users 83% prefer to use Google. Analysts of Morgan Stanley assume that they on the party of Google play not only androidfona, but also the most popular Chrome Internet browser on devices of all platforms. GigaOM explains mismatch between number of requests and users with the fact that in the English-speaking countries people got used to address several searchers whereas in Russia users of "Yandex" usually look for only in it.

Yandex outside Russia

2015: "Yandex" will attract third-party investors to development of the project in Turkey

"Yandex" intends to attract third-party investors in the Turkish service. The company considers the project "as an internal startup" therefore it is ready to develop it together with partners.
