YouDo.com is a Russian online service (aggregator) that allows you to find performers to solve any household and business problems. It was founded in 2012 by two entrepreneurs Denis Kutergin and Alexei Gidirim.

You can order the service both on the youdo.com website and in mobile applications on iOS and Android. Officially, the online service works in Moscow and the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, but it all depends on the specific task. Some orders can be performed from anywhere in the world.


History

2022: More than 150 thousand self-employed performers have already been registered on YouDo

On June 10, 2022, it became known that more than 150 thousand self-employed performers were registered on YouDo. At the same time, the real number of specialists with NAP payer status is higher, since not all performers officially confirm it on the service. Monthly, the number of performers with confirmed status increases by 10-15%. The highest self-employed growth rate on YouDo occurred between July 2021 and May 2022 - 40% higher than from July 2020 to the end of June 2021, and 133% higher than in 2020. Also in 2022, the average number of responses to tasks from legal entities increased - by a third compared to last year's period and by 62% since the beginning of the regime. 

As reported, one of the main trends in self-employment in 2022 was diversification - already 70% of the self-employed in June 2022 earn money in two or more categories. At the same time, in 2020, the share of such performers was only 53%. The most popular categories for the self-employed on YouDo were Virtual Assistant (14%), Design (11%), Repair and Construction (10%), Courier Services (9%), Photos, Video and Audio (8%). 

Over two years, the ratio of self-employed blue and white collar workers on the service has changed - the share of specialists providing intellectual services in the field of IT, design, marketing and advertising, legal and accounting assistance increased by 15% (from 45% in 2020 to 60% in 2022). 

For two years, average checks have also grown in some categories: as of June 2022, self-employed teachers, coaches and tutors receive 180% more than in 2020, the average check is 5,500. rubles In addition, repair services for digital equipment have risen in price to 2,400 rubles - by a quarter compared to 2020. In 2022, technicians receive 19% more than in 2020 - 5,400 rubles. However, their services were most expensive in 2021 - then the check was about 7,000 rubles. Freelancers from the category "Virtual Assistant" began to earn 18% more, the average order brings them 7,800 rubles. Repair services transport increased in price by 16% - up to 8,000 rubles per task in 2022. Self-employed designers receive 9% more than two years earlier - as of June 2022, the average check is 16,300 rubles per order. 

However, there is also a decrease in the cost of one order. Couriers began to move in sprints instead of marathons - one delivery fell in price by 39% compared to 2020 and by 45% compared to 2021. For one order, a pedestrian courier will receive an average of 1,200 rubles. Cleaning services for two years fell in price by 37%, on average to 3,600 rubles. Self-employed promoters and merchandisers in the "Events and Promotions" category began to receive 30% less than at the height of the pandemic in 2020, about 4,900 thousand per task. Beauty services have also noticeably cheaper, the cost is almost 3,000 rubles - this is 17% less than in pandemic 2020. There is also a decrease in the average check in the category of computer assistance by - 13% compared to 2020, as of June 2022 it is 2,800 rubles. The consultation of a lawyer and accountant fell by 12%, to 6,000 rubles. Cargo transportation fell in price by 10%, the average check - 13,300 rubles. The cost of services for self-employed software developers remained almost at the same level as two years earlier, the average check is 34,600 rubles in 2022. The average cost in the category of repair and construction has not changed either - 27,800 rubles, as well as in the field of photo, video and audio work - 6,900 rubles.

2021

Raising $5 million from HeadHunter

On November 1, 2021, it became known about investing $5 million in YouDo. The company invested in this service of household and other services, HeadHunter which, as a result of the transaction, became a minority shareholder of YouDo. The size of the stake and estimated value of YouDo at the time of the announcement of the agreement were not disclosed.

It is reported that the funds received by YouDo will be used to develop the B2B direction of business and self-employed. In July 2021, a corresponding platform was launched, called "YouDo Business." It allows businesses to quickly find temporary personnel, conduct electronic document management and make official calculations. 

HeadHunter invests $5 million in YouDo consumer services service

According to HeadHunter, the investment in YouDo is in line with the company's strategy to further expand beyond the core online recruiting market and reach promising adjacent segments throughout the HR value chain.

According to YouDo co-founder Denis Kutergin, YouDo Business allows companies to more effectively solve their business problems by attracting the self-employed, and performers to increase income. At the same time, the project allows you to solve the social task of reducing unemployment and legalizing unofficial employment in the country. HH investment and synergy with YouDo shareholder resources will allow you to develop the B2B direction faster.

According to the Crunchbase portal, since its inception, the YouDo project has raised a total of $24.2 million, investors include telecommunications operator MTS, venture capital fund Sistema VC, as well as funds Flint Capital and United Capital Partners.

MTS invested $12 million in YouDo

Mobile Telesystems (MTS) announced in September 2018 that it had become the lead investor in the next round of investments to raise funds in the YouDo project. This service allows you to find performers on the Internet for various household works[1]

MTS acquired a 13.7% stake in YouDo for $12 million. Thus, the valuation of the entire company amounted to $87.5 million. YouDo will direct the funds raised to expand the geography of the business, launch new categories of services, a federal advertising campaign and further automation of the service.

The total amount of funds raised by YouDo during this round is $17 million. In addition to MTS, the current shareholders of the projects took part in the round.

Project with Alfa-Bank

YouDo.com provides users with access to the database of business customers, and Alfa-Bank helps in everything else: from preparing documents for business registration to free accounting. About 700,000 verified performers are registered on the YouDo.com, about 20% of which have the status of an individual entrepreneur (IP) or a legal entity. For them, the service has a special direction "YouDo Business," which allows you to perform tasks from business customers.
