2023: Sanctions from the United States

ZALA Aero is part of the Kalashnikov concern, which has been under American sanctions since 2015, and was re-included in the sanctions lists in July 2023. Also, the head of the concern Vladimir Lepin fell under restrictions. Russia considers Western sanctions illegal. The Kremlin stressed that "even the toughest sanctions have never in any part of the world led to the fact that those countries against whom they are introduced somehow change their position."
