History

2014: IBS sold HyperMethod

As CNews knew, the Lenvea company working under a brand of HyperMethod and which is engaged in software development for distance learning does not belong to the IBS IBS system integrator any more [1].

IBS purchased 51% of "Lenvea" in 2008 at founders Dmitry Krechman and Yury Perepelitsyn, they redeemed this packet back and now own the company in the ratio 50 on 50.

Sale of "Lenvea" formally took place in the fall of 2013, reported to CNews both parties of the transaction, but legally parting, according to Dmitry Krechman, continued long enough and came to the end at the beginning of summer of 2014. By this time IBS and "Lenvea" finished all joint contracts.

The representative of IBS Evgeny Kutilov explains the decision on sale with the fact that market conditions changed. "We considered that HyperMethod for us now a non-core asset. In the transaction the possibility of share repurchase by founders of the company was stipulated, we agreed to implement this opportunity".

Both transactions were monetary, speak in IBS. Their amounts do not reveal. Revenue of "Lenvea" before entry into IBS did not exceed $1 million, but after sale, according to Dmitry Krechman, doubled in the first year (IBS implemented the HR system of SAP in Gazprom and involved the purchased company in creation of the corporate university of gas giant). In 2013 revenue of "Lenvea" was several times higher, than at the time of the transaction of 2008.

Dmitry Krechman says that entry into IBS was useful and in terms of corporate culture: "We adopted at them all best and got rid from ourselves of all the worst".

Now, according to the founder of Gipermetod, before the company the window of opportunities opened. Economic downturn, of course, has negative effect on sales, especially in the corporate sector, he explains, but, at the same time, in the conditions of reduction of budgets customers are inclined to select less expensive solutions, and products of HyperMethod belong just to it.

2011

Creation of a software platform of new generation for the organization of distance learning – eLearning Server 4G became key event of year. Also new versions of software solutions "eAuthor CBT" and "iWebinar", the modules "Electronic Dean's Office" and "Management of Requests" were developed and submitted. Basic software products of the company - eLearning Server, eAuthor CBT, iWebinar, Assessment Tools, to eLearning CMS and eLearning SIS - showed sales growth for 70%. For the purpose of quality improvement and efficiency of cooperation with clients, reduction of material and time expenditure of the last on acquisition and service of software solutions the company entered new service – lease of software (SaaS).

In 2011 the number of clients of IBS HyperMethod company increased. In structure of income of the company more than 50% occupy sales of software in the corporate sector. New users of software products of HyperMethod of IBS for creation and management of distance learning, development, estimates and certifications of personnel became such companies as VimpelCom, pharmaceutical company "AKRIKHIN", the Ukrainian network of hypermarkets of home appliances and COMFY electronics. In comparison with 2010 the number of customers in public sector considerably increased. Contracts were signed and solutions in Roshydromet, Scientific Research Institute Okhrany truda, Department of Education of the Yaroslavl region, the Ministry of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Samara region, department of health care of Krasnodar Krai are implemented.

Projects of creation and system implementation of distance learning in Ural Federal University of the first President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin, Military and air academy of N.E. Zhukovsky, the Rostov state university of ways of messages, the Kazan technical university of A.N. Tupolev and medical faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University are complete. Active work on implementation of a new software platform of eLearning Server 4G in the International center of Centre International de l'Université d'Etat de Moscou Lomnosov Sàrl is continued.

As an important event of 2011 it is possible to call signing of the partnership agreement with the world leader in the market of electronic training courses by SkillSoft company. Now the IBS HyperMethod company is engaged not only in creation and development of educational content, but also delivery of ready electronic SkillSoft rates and the Russian developers.
