Beginning of work on the Russian mission to Mars

At the end of June 2022, it became known about the beginning of work on the Russian mission to Mars. According to Dmitry Rogozin, General Director of Roscosmos, the S. A. Lavochkin Scientific and Production Association (NPO) has begun work on the corresponding flight module.

Work began on the Russian mission to Mars

In July 2022, a regular meeting of the Council of ESA member states will take place, following which the European side will make a final decision on the fate of the mission. As part of the tests, mission operators simulated operations that the spacecraft will have to perform from the moment the mission starts to the separation of the European rover from the Russian landing platform.
